Akhanda 2's box office collection and row

According to industry tracker, Sacnilk, Akhanda 2 earned a net total of Rs. 94.45 crore at the Indian box office. The major chunk of these earnings came from the Telugu version. It also had a decent overseas run, grossing Rs. 123.8 crore worldwide. While the film could not match the fan wave of Akhanda, it did earn a place among the top 10 Telugu grossers of 2025. Fans believe the film could not match the wave of the prequel due to the legal issue that led to its postponement.

According to reports, Nandamuri Balakrishna's action-adventure movie was postponed after the Madras High Court ordered a stay on its screening following an appeal filed by Eros International Media Ltd. A day before the film release, reports emerged that Eros had filed an appeal regarding its long-standing arbitral award against 14 Reels Entertainment Private Limited, under which Eros is the award holder of a money decree of approximately Rs. 28 crore. After the production house paid the outstanding amount, the film was released on December 11, 2025.
