Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon were once the hottest couple in B-town. Their on-screen chemistry paved the way for their offscreen romance, and soon the couple got engaged. However, things didn’t work out between the two, and they called off their engagement. Since then, Akshay and Raveena were never seen together.
However, the two dynamic stars of the 90s, Raveena and Akshay came together for HT India’s Most Stylish 2023 awards after almost 20 years of their breakup. Not only they attended the award ceremony but also graced the stage together. In one of the videos, Akshay and Raveena were seen engaged in a cute chit-chat. As they stepped on the stage, Akshay and Raveena were seen sharing hearty laughter, making their fans go in awe.

Earlier, during a podcast, Raveena Tandon talked about her breakup with Akshay Kumar and how it is a constant topic in the media. The actress stated that there was no jealousy as once he moved out of her life, the two started seeing other people. Raveena further shared that she and Akshay often bump into each other at social events and are quite cordial with each other.

In a 1999 interview with the Stardust, Raveena had cleared the air on her engagement and why Akshay had, back then, kept himself tight-lipped about the same. According to her, Akshay was a rising star and had a huge female fan following. He was scared that he might lose out on his female fans and his Bollywood career might come to a standstill if the news of his engagement was leaked. After their breakup, Akshay got married to actress, Twinkle Khanna and Raveena tied the knot with businessman, Anil Thadani.
There were also rumours of Akshay and Raveena’s secret wedding. In a throwback interview with Rediff, Akshay reacted to the rumours of his secret marriage reports with Raveena and said:
"It was only an engagement which broke up later. But excuse me, we were not married at all. In fact, I've been shooting for a long time with Raveena even after we broke up."
