Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar, had shared a beautiful bond with his mother, Aruna Bhatia. She was his pillar of strength, the solution to all of his problems; in one word, she was his world. A few months ago, when Akshay Kumar was shooting for a film in the UK, his mother had fallen ill and was admitted to Hiranandani hospital. But, her health had deteriorated, and she had left for the heavenly abode.
For, the unversed, Akshay Kumar's mother had passed away on September 8, 2021, at Hiranandani hospital. The actor had taken to his Twitter handle to share the news and had expressed his grief to the world. He had written:

"She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."

A few moments back, Akshay took to his Instagram handle to share an emotional post as he missed his mother, Aruna Bhatia too much. In the 20-sec video, we can see Akshay wearing a khaki-coloured buttoned-down kurta looking lost in his thoughts. A religious song, Namastasye Namo Namah, was playing in the background. The actor wrote in the caption:
“Yunhe aaj ma bohot yaad aa rahi hai. (Just like that, today, I am missing my mother a lot)."
A few days ahead of Akshay Kumar's mother's demise, the actor had asked his followers to pray for his mother as she was admitted to the hospital. Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor had written:
“Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”
In an old interview with Hindustan Times, the Bell Bottom actor, Akshay Kumar had revealed how much he had loved his mother and how beautiful their relationship was. Talking about the same, he had said:
