Eminent cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan’s personal life has been grabbing a lot of attention for some time now, especially post his divorce from his ex-wife, Ayesha Mukerji. However, the most disturbing part of the entire episode is the fact that he has been blocked by his ex-wife to establish any connection with their son, Zoravar. It has been almost a year that Shikhar hasn’t met his son, and a few days back, the cricketer penned an emotional post for the latter on his social media handle. And now, Akshay Kumar reacted to the same.
Taking to his IG stories, Akshay Kumar re-shared Shikhar Dhawan’s emotional post, expressing lament about not getting to meet his son, Zoravar for almost a year. Akshay resonated with the cricketer’s feelings and expressed how he, too, can understand being a father, the pains of not getting to see his son. Extending support to Shikhar Dhawan, Akshay wrote:
“As a father, I know that nothing is more painful than not being able to see or meet your child. Hausla rakh Shikhar…millions of us are praying for you to meet your son soon. God bless.”

It was back on December 26, 2023, when Shikhar dropped a heartfelt birthday post for his son, Zoravar, on his social media handle. Sharing a screengrab from one of his video calls with his baby boy, Shikhar penned a touching note, that expressed his pain on not getting to see his son for over a year now. He wrote:
“It's been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I've been blocked from everywhere so posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday. Even if I can't connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you're doing great and growing up nicely. Papa always misses you and loves you. He's always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong. Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I'm doing and what's new in my life. Love you loads Zora, Papa."
Speaking about Shikhar Dhawan’s equation with Akshay Kumar, the duo have been known to share quite a friendly bonding with one another. Proof of the same was found in September 2023, when the cricketer joined the actor and his son, Aarav on their visit to Mahakaleswar Temple in Ujjain, on the occasion of Akshay’s birthday. The clips and glimpses from their visit was widely circulated on the internet.

Shikhar Dhawan and his ex-wife, Ayesha Mukerji’s divorce came through back on October 4, 2023. Granted by the the Family Court in the Patiala House complex in Delhi, the judge accepted allegations made by Shikhar against his ex-wife in the divorce petition. According to Shikhar, he was subjected to mental agony and cruelty by Ayesha, and was even forced to stay away from their son for years. As a result, the court allowed the cricketer to meet his son, Zoravar for a certain duration.
