Akshay Kumar is one of the most talented actors in the Bollywood film industry. He is well known for his versatility and disciplined nature in the industry. Recently, the Padma Shri awardee has made headlines for his legal comedy, Jolly LLB 3. While Kapil Sharma's comedy show, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3, came to an end on September 20, 2025, Akshay Kumar set the final episode on fire. However, a witty remark of Akshay about the firing incident of Kapil's Cafe in Surrey, Canada, has stolen the spotlight.

Akshay Kumar was welcomed to the last episode of Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The duo was seen teasing each other in the episode, and the usual funny banter was also present. However, the Jolly LLB 3 star’s witty remark on the firing incident of the comedian’s Kap’s Cafe in Canada, gained traction. In response, Kapil just smiled back at the comment. Taking a dig, Akshay said:

"Teen season Netflix pe kar chuka hai yeh. Uss pehle Sony pe tha, usse pehle Colors pe. Abhi do filmein kar raha hai. Isne apna restaurant khol liya aur itni aamdani hai ke waha goliyan bhi chali."

When Kapil Sharma's Kap's Cafe in Canada's Surreal came under attack

On July 4, 2025, Kapil and his wife, Ginni Chatrath, softly launched their cafe, which they named Kap’s Cafe. From the starting day, the fans and locals of Canada’s Surreal lined up in front of the aesthetically pleasing cafe. With every passing day, the crowds increased inside Kap’s cafe. However,  in the early hours of July 10, 2025, around 1:50 am, the comedian’s cafe in a foreign land came under attack.

Multiple gunshots were fired at the cafe. The cafe came under attack for the second time on August 8, 2025. According to multiple reports, 25 gunshots were fired targeting the newly launched cafe. Earlier, on July 11, 2025, an official statement was issued by the official Instagram page of Kap’s Cafe. Taking to their Instagram Stories, they addressed the shocking incident and shared that it had been a heartbreaking moment for them. They mentioned how the cafe was launched with so much love and warmth. The statement can be read as:

"We opened Kap's Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock but we are not giving up."

They thanked the people for their support, kind words and prayers. They shared another note to express their gratitude to the authorities for their immense support during this difficult time. They extended their gratitude to Surrey Police and the Delta Police Department for ensuring everyone’s safety. The note can be read as:

"We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the @surreypolice and @deltapd for their prompt response and efforts in ensuring everyone's safety during this difficult time."
