Akshay Kumar is one of the most super-energetic actors in Bollywood. Even at the age of 56, he is working non-stop and is immensely loved for his fitness routine besides his acting skills. On the work front, Akshay has a list of movies in his pipeline, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Singham Again, Skyforce, Sarfira, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, Khel Khel Mein, Welcome to the Jungle, Shankara and Hera Pheri 3.
However, Akshay Kumar too, had a fair share of struggles in his life. He used to live in a 2bhk apartment during his childhood, which his parents had rented for Rs. 500. Now, in a candid conversation with YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, Akshay talked about the same, and revealed his plans to purchase the property. The actor shared that he loves to visit the place, and thus, he let the flat owners know about his interest in buying it. In Akshay's words:

“I don't understand the psychology behind it but I just feel happy to go there. I like revisiting my old house. We used to pay Rs. 500 for our rented house. I came to know that the building is being renovated. I have told them that I want to buy the third floor. We used to live there. A two-bedroom flat is under construction right now. So, I said to them that I am interested in buying it.”

In the same podcast, Akshay then delved into the reason behind his intention, which is related to every emotional human being. The actor, who hailed from a middle-class family, mentioned that he and his sister, Alka Bhatia, used to wait for their father, Hari Om Bhatia, to return from office in the same home. And the same memories are still intact in his mind. Elaborating more about such memories, Akshay confessed:
“I just want to keep that flat. I still remember me and my sister waiting for Daddy to return when he used to do a 9-6 job. So, the visual is still there. There was a Guava tree and we used to pluck the fruits. I still go there every month and bring some guavas and flowers. I honestly want to be in touch with that. That is where I come from.”
Earlier, in an interview with the Lodha Group, Akshay opened up about manifesting his dream home in Mumbai. He revealed that it was when he was working as an assistant photographer to Jayesh Sheth that Akshay asked him to click some photos free of cost for his portfolio. Upon Jayesh's agreement, they began hunting places to shoot at the Juhu beach. And that was when they came across a ware off the building. But after Jayesh could click a few of his photos, they were shooed away from there. Fast forward to now, Akshay has made such achievements in his life that he could become the proud owner of the same. Akshay recalled:
“If you don’t mind Jayesh, can you please do my photoshoot and you need not pay me anything. I quickly lay down on the parapet of the bungalow, and he started clicking me. But a watchman of that building came towards us and shooed us away. We had already clicked 3-4 pictures by then. A building was constructed on the site of the dilapidated bungalow, and I live in that building.”
