After Dhurandhar Success, Akshaye Khanna Is Out Of 'Race 4', Up For Telugu Debut With Massive Role?

Akshaye Khanna has been grabbing the attention with his role in the movie, Dhurandhar. The actor has marked a new era for himself with the negative roles he has been playing, be it in the movie, Dhurandhar or Chhaava. Well, following his massive success in Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna opted out of Drishyam 3. While people have been waiting to know whether he will be a part of Dhurandhar 2 or not, speculations were also there that the actor will possibly return in Race 4. Well, a new update emerged about his upcoming project. Let's have a look.

Akshaye Khanna isn't going to be there in Race 4

Akshaye Khanna established himself in Bollywood, initially with lover-boy roles, but in recent times, his transition into villain roles is nothing short of iconic and more massive than it ever seemed. People wondered if Akshaye would return for his role in Race 4. However, recently, producer Ramesh Taurani revealed that the actor would not return in the popular franchise.

Ramesh Turani spoke to Hindustan Times, and revealed that Akshaye hasn't even been approached, and the reason is that his role from the first movie of the franchise met with an accident, and it lost track right there, leaving no scope for him to return. No cast has been finalised yet, and the script is being processed, as per Ramesh. He said:

"No, we have not approached Akshaye. There was no scope at all. There is no thought about getting him. His character gets into an accident in the first movie, his track ended there, and it will remain at that. “No cast has been finalised till now. The work on the script is on."

Akshaye Khanna is going to make his Telugu debut with another massive role

On the other hand, Akshaye Khanna is gearing up for his Telugu debut soon. The actor will be playing the role of 'Asuraguru Shukracharya' in the movie, Mahakali. Well, it seems, Akshaye isn't leaving his newfound direction with negative roles on screens, as 'Asuraguru Shukracharya', in Hindu mythology, has been considered as someone who is the guru for the 'Asuras'.

As per Vedic texts, 'Asuraguru Shukracharya' got a blessing from Lord Shiva and was the holder of the immense knowledge of Sanjeevani Vidya, a guide for Asuras to fight against God. The movie will feature Bhoomi Shetty as a female lead, as of now, Akshaye's photos as 'Shukracharya' made rounds on social media, and left fans excited about the actor's Telugu debut.

Akshaye Khanna's upcoming projects 

With massive success from Dhurandhar, Akshaye Khanna has been getting several projects, but reportedly, he is being selective about his roles. Reportedly, he will make a cameo in the movie Border 2. He played an important role in the movie Drishyam 2, and he is not going to return for part 3. On the other hand, people have been anticipating his return in Dhurandhar 2, but to mention, he was killed towards the end of the first part, but it can also happen that he appears in a throwback sequence. While 'Rehman Dakait' was killed in the movie, 'Hamza' was seen hallucinating him, so traces of Akshaye could possibly be found.
