Alain Delon's Three Children Are In The Ruins? Engage In An Ugly Legal Battle Over Dad's Inheritance

Alain Delon is one of the most well-known French actors, film producers, screenwriters, singers and businessmen. The multitalented man emerged as one of the most acclaimed artists for his roles in films such as Women Are Weak, Purple Noon, Rocco and His Brothers, The Girl on a Motorcycle and The Black Tulip. Along with the fame, Alain also built a massive wealth, which, unfortunately, his three children, Anthony, Alain-Fabien, and Anouchka, are now fighting over.

It was on August 18, 2024, when Alain Delon passed away. A year later, his three children have been fighting an ugly battle over the inheritance he left them. The 88-year-old actor had three kids, Anthony, Alain-Fabien, and Anouchka, who were quick to announce his death in a press release. This was then relayed by Agence France-Presse (AFP). The release could be read as:

"Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony, as well as (his dog) Loubo, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their father. He passed away peacefully at his home in  Douchy.  Surrounded by his three children and his family. His family asks you to please respect his privacy in this extremely painful time of mourning."

Alain Delon's legacy is at the heart of the conflict between his three children. The funeral for the legend took place in Douchy on Saturday, August 24, 2024. On the same day, a mass was arranged on site by Monsignor Di Falco in the chapel of the Brulerie. For the unversed, it is the same church that was built at the request of the actor on his property in Loiret. The religious building in question has a vault where the actor was buried. After having obtained prior authorisation from the prefecture.

However, even after a year, Alain Delon's estate is still waiting execution. This came following the legal proceedings, amid which the inheritance distribution was put on hold. As a reminder, the actor had given 75 per cent of all his movable and immovable assets to his three children. This includes the Douchy property, an apartment in Paris, and another property located in Geneva, Switzerland, which is currently occupied by Anouchka Delon. The actor's heirs have already received a massive paycheck in advance worth 107,000 euros.

The remaining assets will be distributed after the court has made its ruling on the application of Alain Delon's estate. The actor's three children, Anthony, Alain-Fabien, and Anouchka Delon, have also received 10,000 euros each month since his death. Once the actor's entire inheritance is released, Anthony, Alain-Fabien, and Anouchka Delon will have to pay inheritance tax.

For the unversed, these taxes will gradually rise to 45 per cent for the portion exceeding 1.8 million euros. This represents the bulk of Alain Delon's inheritance, estimated at at least 50 million euros. The actor's children may therefore be forced to sell the Douchy estate to pay the full inheritance tax. Especially since this property is extremely expensive to maintain. The yearly maintenance is 200,000 euros.
