Alaya F has made a name for herself in the film industry, completely with her own hard work and merit. Despite being the granddaughter of Kabir Bedi and daughter of Pooja Bedi, the young diva has carved her career without any help, and has bore all the challenges with humility. In a recent interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Alaya F opened up about her parents, Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewala’s broken marriage. She reminisced, how as a child, she didn’t feel bad that her parents went their separate ways, since the two remained very cordial with one another even during separation. Alaya further remembered how her mom attended her father’s second wedding happily without any awkwardness. Adding how she is extremely close with her step mother, Laila Khan, Alaya said:
“My parents were going their separate ways, but I would see them all the time, they were very, very friendly with each other also. Till today, they are great friends. My mom attended my father’s second marriage. I am extremely close to my step-mom.”

For the unversed, after ending his marriage with Pooja Bedi in 2003, Farhan Furniturewala got married to Laila Khan, who is the daughter of actor, Feroz Khan and sister of actor, Fardeen Khan. The couple welcomed their son, Zaan in the year 2015. Speaking about the latter, Alaya mentioned how she hates calling him her half-brother, as she already considers him a piece of her heart. In her words:
“My half-brother, who I even hate calling half-brother because he is my brother, we have the same dad different moms, is like a piece of my heart, my child. So I can’t imagine a life where my parents had stayed together.”
Moving forth in the conversation, Alaya F startingly remarked how she always considered her parents’ separation a most positive thing in her life. Explaining the reason behind it, the actress stated that her guardians dealt with the divorce most beautifully, and they never spoke any ill about each other. She narrated:
“In my head, divorce was never really a bad thing because my parents handled their divorce so beautifully. When my other friend was going through something similar, I didn’t think it was a big deal. I was like, ‘Yeah, it will be good for you, it will be great for your family’, because that’s generally how I thought about divorce. My parents never spoke ill about each other and were never cold to the new people who entered their lives. My mom and step-mom are also very good friends.”
