Australian-American country singer, Keith Urban, is currently undergoing a highly publicised divorce with actress, Nicole Kidman. Amid their messy split, marked with allegations of jealousy, infidelity, and conflicting priorities, Keith was reported to have already moved on with someone new. He was speculated to be dating his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, which created a stir on the internet. The rumours were fueled when Keith changed the lyrics of his love song, The Fighter, replacing 'baby' with 'Maggie'. Recently, their friend, Alexandra Kay, cleared the air around the issue.
Keith Urban's country music acquaintance, Alexandra Kay, addressed the dating rumours between Keith Urban and Maggie Baugh. As the alleged couple chose not to comment on the issue, it escalated to discussions of Keith's alleged cheating on his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. To save her friend the trouble, Alexandra Kay took it upon herself to reveal the truth regarding Keith and Maggie's relationship. In an interview with Taste of Country, the Everleave singer said that the dating rumours were 'absolutely not true' and that Maggie was happily in a relationship with someone else.

Alexandra also stated that she has met Maggie's boyfriend and that Maggie "has nothing to do with that whole [Nicole and Keith] relationship." Alexandra expressed sadness over the intense media scrutiny and the false rumours being spread about her friend, Maggie, and Keith Urban. She was 'heartbroken' because the media and fans were 'stirring things up' and making both Maggie and Keith look bad, according to Alexandra. Debunking the dating speculations, she stated:
"Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things that people say... They're like, stirring up rumours about Maggie Baugh, and I'm like, 'She's a good friend of mine and I know that's absolutely not true.'"

Rumours about Keith Urban and Maggie Baugh began circulating around the end of September 2025, coinciding with the public announcement of Keith's divorce from Nicole Kidman. The speculation was primarily fueled by two viral incidents involving the guitarist during Keith's tour. On September 26, 2025, during his High and Alive tour, Urban altered the lyrics of his song, The Fighter, which was initially inspired by his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. He sang, "When they're tryna get to you, Maggie (instead of 'baby'), I'll be your guitar player," while looking at Maggie.

Maggie posted a video of the lyric change on Instagram on September 27, 2025, with the caption, "Did he just say that," sparking huge buzz online. Shortly after these events, news broke on September 29, 2025, that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman had separated after 19 years of marriage, with her filing for divorce the next day. The timing prompted intense media scrutiny and speculation that Maggie was the reason for their split. However, the rumors have been widely debunked by people close to Maggie.
