It was in 2011 when Director, Ali Abbas Zafar had made his directorial debut with the film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, which had turned out to be a huge success at the box office. He is best known for directing films and series like Gunday, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Tandav, and many more. Ali Abbas had married Alicia, on January 3, 2021, in an intimate wedding ceremony. As soon as the news had gotten out on the next day, he was flooded with loads of congratulatory wishes for starting his new life.
To announce his wedding, Ali Abbas Zafar had posted a beautiful picture from his intimate wedding ceremony and had given a sweet surprise to his fans by introducing his wife, Alicia. The picture had featured a close-up frame of the bride and groom holding each other's hand, and the beautiful sunlight falling from the background had made it even more surreal. Along with the picture, Ali had written, "Bismillah" followed by a red heart emoticon.

On January 3, 2021, Ali Abbas Zafar and Alicia completed one year of marital bliss. Ali took to his IG handle and shared adorable pictures. In the photos, the filmmaker was seen wearing a white shirt and his wife opted for a white top with floral prints. In one of the pictures, Alicia was seen resting her head on his chest and looking towards the camera, whereas Ali looked away from the camera.
In the pictures, the madly-in-love couple looked adorable as they walked hand-in-hand. He captioned the pictures as:
“One year of living in a dream, happiness, silly smiles and feeling alive in every moment, thank you Almighty for Alicia Zafar #1stanniversay.”

On 4 January 2020, Ali Abbas Zafar had introduced his wife, Alicia to his fans, by sharing a loved-up picture from their wedding on his IG handle. Along with the picture, he had written a heartfelt message which could be read as:
“1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra’s, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face, I feel the same Alicia Zafar. Mine for life.”
A few weeks after his marriage, in an interview with ETimes, Ali Abbas Zafar threw some light on his love story. He had revealed that he had fallen in love with Alicia on the sets of Tiger Zinda Hai. Further, he had mentioned that Alicia was a part of the Salman Khan starrer, Bharat which was also directed by him. Ali had met Alicia in France and had pursued her for two years before she had said yes. He had also said that as soon as she had received her visa, they had travelled to his hometown in Dehradun and had got married.
