Something similar happened when Alia Bhatt shared that Ranbir Kapoor asks her to 'wipe off her lipstick'. After this revelation, netizens started trolling Ranbir Kapoor and even called him a 'toxic husband'. Now, to make things normal, Alia heaped praises on Ranbir.
On August 16, 2023, Alia hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Instagram and replied to her fans' questions. A user asked Alia if her display picture on Instagram was clicked by Ranbir Kapoor. To this, Alia replied with a big yes and also shared another happy picture of herself, which was clicked by Ranbir. Alongside it, she wrote:
"Yes, even this one. He's my most favourite photographer ever."

Another user asked Alia the best thing about Ranbir Kapoor. To this, Alia called Ranbir her happy place, and revealed that she can be her authentic self with him. Alia wrote:
"He's my happy place cause I can be my truest most authentic self with him."
Recently, we got hold of Alia's Vogue interview, wherein she revealed her makeup routine. During one of the segment, Alia revealed that her husband, Ranbir Kapoor would often ask her to wipe off her lipstick as he loved the natural colour of her lips. She was talking about how she applies lipstick in an usual way and then wipes it off. Talking about the same, Alia said:
"I thought, that was just something that I worked out for myself, and then, I rub it off. Because one thing my husband, when he wasn’t my husband when he was my boyfriend as well, says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off’. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip.
Soon netizens expressed their opinion on Reddit. One user had written, "My point exactly. There is a gulf of difference between saying 'you look pretty even without makeup' and 'wipe that off.. wipe that off'. Shows the relationship dynamics in a very telling way". Another one commented, "Alia should have reply "Take your Wig Off", i like your natural hair."
