Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and starred his daughter, Pooja Bhatt, and Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan. It was released in 1991 and was a box-office success. During the conversation, the filmmaker heaped praises on Pooja and Aamir for their performances in the film. Sharing the reason behind suggesting this particular film to Raha, Mahesh Bhatt said:
"It's one of the most heartwarming films where Pooja was out of this world, and Aamir was really good. It is a film that has the resonance of a human heart. I think a film like that would be the right one that I would (pick for her first)."
In the same conversation, the 75-year-old filmmaker shared how his life has changed completely ever since Alia and Ranbir's daughter, Raha came into their lives. He revealed that his perspective of looking at things has changed, and he now observes minute details which he would earlier overlook. He was quoted as saying:
"Alia is not just an astounding actor but also a great mother. It has been an alchemical change, and Raha is like a gift from the skies, who came out of nowhere and left us all awestruck. If I can be brutally honest, my gaze has shifted towards the grandchild. You start doting on her a little more than your own daughter."
