Alia Bhatt's Ex-Personal Assistant Arrested For Allegedly Swindling Over Rs. 70 L From The Actress

Alia Bhatt is among the top actresses in the Indian film industry. Known for her roles in films like Raazi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy and several others, the actress has built a massive fan base. The actress also formed a production house in 2021 called Eternal Sunshine Productions. However, her assets became a target when her former personal assistant fraudulently obtained several lakhs from her personal and production house's accounts. 

Alia Bhatt's ex-personal assistant arrested for wrongly obtaining money

Juhu Police have arrested Vedika Prakash Shetty on the alleged charges of swindling money. Vedika, Alia Bhatt's former personal assistant, Vedika, is being accused of taking money from Bhatt's production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd, as well as from the actress's personal accounts. According to reports, Vedika had obtained more than Rs. 76 lakhs from the two accounts through fraudulent means.

The investigation is underway, and more details are awaited as Alia Bhatt or her team has not issued any statement on the matter thus far. However, the incident has raised concerns about trust within the management. Vedika Prakash Shetty has allegedly taken Rs. 76,90,892 from the actress' accounts thus far. 

About Alia Bhatt's production house, Eternal Sunshine Production

Eternal Sunshine Production was launched by Alia Bhatt in 2021. According to the production house, it aims at producing 'happy films' that focus on the 'real, timeless, warm and fuzzy tales'. The production house made its debut with Alia Bhatt's Netflix special, Darlings. The film was co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Alongside Alia Bhatt, the film also starred Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah.

Alia Bhatt's upcoming projects

Alia Bhatt is currently busy with her upcoming movie, Alpha. The film will mark Alia's debut in the Spy Universe. The film also stars Sharvari Wagh in the lead and is set for release on December 25, 2025. Apart from that, the actress will also reunite with her husband and actor, Ranbir Kapoor, on the big screen. The duo previously wowed the audience with their performance in the 2022 film, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.

Alia and Ranbir will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Alia also has Farhan Akhtar's Jee Lee Zara alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in the pipeline. However, the film has been on hold for a long time, as the three actresses have extremely busy schedules, and fans can only hope they can align their schedules soon. Talking about her reunion with Ranbir, Alia previously told News18 Showsha:

"I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate again, after so many years. I am like, 'wow, what's that going to be like? Vicky and I are coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations."
