But now, the Raazi actress has become the centre of merciless trolling after designer, Prabal Gurung revealed how he met the actress. Sharing a long post on his social media handle, Prabal shared that he met Alia at his dearest friend, Karan Johar’s 40th birthday party. Ever since Prabal made the revelations, netizens have started trolling Alia for the nepotistic approach.

A thread on Reddit reshared Prabal's post, and netizens trolled Alia. One of the users wrote, “So they've been planning her Met gala debut for 10 years?” Another wrote, “The more I get to know about her, the more I respect self-made women like Aishwarya, PC and Deepika.” Netizens also stated Alia being an utter disgrace at the event.
Talking about Prabal Gurung’s post, the ace designer took to his IG handle and posted a picture with Alia Bhatt from her Met Gala 2023 debut. Along with the picture, Prabal penned details about the outfit worn by Alia and wrote:
“More than 100,000 pearls were hand embroidered in India on satin-faced organza from Europe and all made in Atelier Prabal Gurung, New York. A well-travelled dress for the global superstar."

On the same note, he revealed how he met Alia for the first time at his dearest friend, Karan Johar’s 40th birthday party. Elaborating on the same, Prabal wrote:
"It was my dearest friend Karan Johar’s 40th birthday in Mumbai, where I first met Alia. I had heard rave reviews about her through him and my brother Pravesh, who was assisting Karan in her debut film. I was immediately taken by her when I met her. A petite ingenue whose simmering fire within her was palpable to all of us. One film after another, she has surpassed anyone’s expectations and thrilled us with her creative genius. She’s a powerhouse performer. To me, she is one of the finest actors we have right now globally, but above all, she’s a friend, a good friend, and a loyal one, that’s what makes her extremely special.”
