The biggest fashion event, Met Gala 2023, has finally begun, and we are mesmerised by the stunning debut Alia Bhatt made. This year, the theme for the event is 'Karl Lagerfield: A Line of Beauty', and all the celebrities were dressed in gorgeous outfits inspired by the renowned designer's works. Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt, who attended MET for the first time, looked like a dream at her red carpet debut at Met Gala 2023.
Alia Bhatt made her appearance at MET Gala 2023 as she turned designer, Prabal Gurung's muse. The actress' outfit was a tribute to Lagerfield's Chanel bride collection, and she undeniably took everyone's breath away with her Disney princess look in a white flowy gown. Taking to her IG handle, Alia dropped some pictures of her angelic look and decoded her look for her and her followers. She penned:
"Met Gala — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look. I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India."

Alia Bhatt's ball gown was made in India, and it was beautifully embroidered with 100,000 pearls. The actress complemented her look with the most beautiful accessories and looked divine. However, the most heartwarming gesture was that she also expressed her love for her cat through her outfit, and it was unmissable! She added:
"The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met. A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair. Oh, and it’s white, for my Choup-ED."
Talking about Alia Bhatt's look, the actress opted for a famous corseted couture ball gown look by Karl Lagerfeld. Designer, Prabal Gurung added justice to Alia's look by giving it a corseted bodice and a flowy bottom, which perfectly accentuated the actress' physique. Moreover, the wide plunging U neckline and a floor-sweeping train at the back added an oomph factor to the outfit! For the unversed, the outfit was worn by Claudia Schiffer as the final Bridal look for Fall 1992 Couture.
Alia teamed her outfit with custom-made embellished gloves, matching diamond earrings and a stack of rings. To style her bridal look, the actress opted for a centre-parted half-tied hairdo adorned with an embellished bow, which highlighted her face to perfection. Lastly, Alia went for subtle makeup, which included smokey eye shadow, kohl-rimmed eyes, mascara on the lashes, blushed cheekbones, nude lip shade, and a dewy base. She also went for pearl-encrusted hand-embroidered shoes to add the finishing punch to her look.
