Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, known for her impressive acting skills and numerous successful films, recently opened up about her experience with ADHD. The actress said she took a psychological test and it turned out that she is high on ADHD. She said, "recently, I did a psychological test and found out that I am high on the ADHD spectrum." She revealed that she feels most present when filming and spending time with her daughter, Raha.
Alia Bhatt recently spoke with The Lallantop about her experience taking a psychological test, which led to a diagnosis of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Reflecting on her journey, she shared that she has been zoning out during talks and lectures since childhood. The test also revealed that the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress falls on the ADHD spectrum.
In the same interview, Alia Bhatt said that when she told her friends about it, they responded that they had always known and that it was not some sort of revelation. Despite her friends’ insights, Alia was unaware of her condition until the test, which helped her understand why she felt most at ease when she was in front of the cameras. She said:
"Then I understood why I am at peace in front of the camera."
The actress, Alia Bhatt continued by saying that when she is on camera, she feels most present and completely inhabits the role she plays. She underlined that her time with her daughter, Raha, is a reflection of these times of presence. These two aspects of her life bring her 'more peace'. She said:
"Now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present."
Both acting and motherhood bring her a deeper sense of peace and fulfilment in her life. Alia expressed gratitude for these experiences, acknowledging how they contribute to her overall happiness and well-being.
