What began as a crush, culminated in a fairytale wedding on April 14, 2023, when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in an intimate wedding. The day is still struck in the hearts of millions when Ranbir and Alia made their first appearance in the media as husband and wife. And now, to mark their first wedding anniversary, Alia posted some unseen gems from her archives.
Taking to her IG handle, Alia Bhatt posted three pictures on her IG handle. The first picture was from her haldi ceremony. The picture featured Alia and Ranbir smiling their hearts out with haldi smeared faces. Alia can be seen in yellow attire, while, Ranbir looked handsome in a white kurta. However, the way he hugged her made us awestruck.

The second picture shared by Alia was quite special as it was from the day when Ranbir Kapoor proposed to her in Masai Mara. In the picture, Ranbir was seen sitting on one knee while proposing to his lady love in the picturesque beauty of Masai Mara. Etching the memory in her heart forever, Alia was seen bursting out into happiness after the surprise proposal.
The third picture was from one of the events attended by Ranbir and Alia. Stealing a cute moment, the duo was seen lost in each other’s embrace. In the monochrome picture, Ranbir and Alia were seen smiling coyly. She captioned the pictures as:
“Happy day.”

For the unversed, Masai Mara is a national reserve in Kenya where Ranbir and Alia went for a holiday and at the same place, he popped the million-dollar question to her. When Alia Bhatt appeared on Koffee With Karan, she talked about Ranbir Kapoor’s proposal and her surprise over the same. Stating that she was not expecting it, the actress shared:
“In terms of Ranbir and his planning, he totally blew my mind away because I was not expecting it. We were not even talking about it. We were talking about it for a very long time but then there were so many pandemic delays, that we decided we won’t talk about it. We’ll just go with feeling. And that’s exactly what he did. He didn’t tell anyone. He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place, Maasai Mara.”
