All the funds collected at the Met Gala benefit the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan, New York, USA. For the uninitiated, each ticket for the Met Gala costs USD 75,000 per person, which in Indian currency comes to around Rs. 63 lakh. The cost of the entire table is around USD 350,000, which is almost Rs. 2 crore 92 lakh. Acording to a report in News18, it was revealed that while companies and design houses buy tables for their guests, individuals pay for their own tickets. So, Alia Bhatt probably spent a whopping amount of at least Rs. 63 lakh to attend the prestigious event.
Alia Bhatt opted for a custom-made mint green-hued Sabyasachi saree featuring 3D floral embellishments and a 23-foot-long train. The actress' couture saree was hand-embroidered with silk floss, beads, sequins, and semi-precious stones and fringed with glass beads. Alia paired her surreal drape with a hand-crafted blouse beautifully adorned with emeralds, Basra pearls, tourmalines, and multi-coloured sapphires. To accentuate her look, the actress added a whimsical bun and adorned it with a statement matha patti. She also wore emerald and sapphire-studded earrings and looked as elegant as ever.

Alia Bhatt made her Met Gala 2023 debut and turned muse for the ace designer, Prabal Gurung. She looked stunning as she walked in an extravagant white ball gown, which featured 1,00,000 pearls. Her outfit was a tribute to Lagerfield's Chanel bride collection, and she looked nothing less than a Disney princess in the white flowy gown. Alia teamed her outfit with custom-made embellished gloves, matching diamond earrings and a stack of rings. A centre-parted half-tied hairdo adorned with an embellished bow, subtle makeup, and earrings accentuated her look.
