Alia often shares how her father has supported her life and even helped her when she felt nervous before her first film as a lead. The actress, shares a close bond with her father, recently posted a heartfelt birthday wish for the filmmaker with a few unseen stills.
On September 20, 2024, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle and shared a special birthday wish for her father and filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt. She shared unseen pictures with Mahesh Bhatt. The first picture was an unseen photograph from her pre-wedding festivities, where she was getting her mehendi done, and her father looked adorably towards her. The next picture featured the father-daughter duo sitting in the same relaxing pose on a casual day.

Sharing the pictures, Alia wrote an inspiring message on how her father has always shown up in life professionally and personally and continues to do so. She wished him well and even mentioned that no one had been like him. She penned:
"Sometimes all you gotta do in life is show up .. you always did and always do. Happy birthday pops/g-pa, there's no one like you."

Pooja Bhatt, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and his first wife, Kiran, also shared some beautiful insights about her father and how he helped her get rid of alcoholism. She sat down for an interview with Zoom and recalled how her father, Mahesh Bhatt, introduced her into showbiz and guided her in her personal life. The Sadak actress revealed that her father sent her a powerful message which read if she loved him, she will love herself, which made her give up alcohol. She was quoted as saying:
"All this wouldn't have been possible if my father hadn't sent me a message. And the message was very simple. 'Pooja, if you love me, then love yourself because I live in you.' This message changed my life."
Pooja Bhatt last year celebrated her seven years of being sober and will now come up with a podcast about addiction with her father. The actress previously shared that she drank alcohol to cope with her failing marriage. However, it soon became an addiction, and she acknowledged the issue, making efforts to recover from it.
