Alia Bhatt is one of the few actresses who conceived her first child before her marriage. The actress was in a longtime relationship with actor, Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she fell in love while shooting for their first film together, Brahmastra. When Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announced their pregnancy within a few months of their marriage, society started to shame the couple. But the duo didn't let the negativity affect them.
As Ranbir Kapoor turned a year older on September 28, 2023, Alia Bhatt dropped some unseen pictures with him to wish him. One of the pictures was from Ranbir and Alia's mehendi ceremony, wherein the two can be seen lost in each other's embrace. The candid photo showed Ranbir showing his special henna design to Alia, who was simply in awe of it. However, what caught everyone's attention was that Alia was holding a drink in her hand.

Now, a Reddit user reshared the picture on social media along with another recent IG post of Alia featuring her BFF, Akansha Ranjan. In the second picture, both the divas can be seen dressed in shimmery gowns while sitting face-to-face on a couch and chatting with one another. Now, sharing the pictures on Reddit, the user pointed out that Alia is trying to rewrite the narrative by sharing pictures of herself drinking at her wedding and hinting that she did not know about her pregnancy at that time. The user penned:
"Notice a pattern about Alia's recent throwback pictures from her wedding? Trying to rewrite the narrative?"
As soon as the post went viral on Reddit, netizens started taking a dig at Alia Bhatt and trolled her for implying that she was not pregnant at her wedding. One user commented, "I don't know if she does it intentionally but I've noticed multiple other pictures she has used to wish people in the past year which implies she was drinking at her wedding." Another one penned, "Guys I was totally not pregnant okay...okay?"
Earlier, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were trolled for welcoming their daughter, Raha Kapoor within seven months of their wedding. For the unversed, the couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022, and became parents on November 6, 2022. However, a section of netizens flooded social media with mean comments and memes, targeting the couple with a lot of hatred. From questioning Alia’s timing of pregnancy to trolling her for starting a family too soon, sexism did not spare this moment of happiness. While a user claimed that Alia should be the next Education Minister, another one wrote, “Ye calculation theek nahi baith raha.”

On November 24, 2022, Alia Bhatt shared the first-ever glimpse of her newborn baby girl and revealed her unique name. In the family portrait, we could see the new dad, Ranbir Kapoor, holding the baby while Alia was looking at her in awe. We could also see a beautifully framed picture of the baby's Barcelona jersey with 'Raha' written on it. Revealing the meaning of her daughter's unique name, Alia shared that it was chosen by her wise dadi, Neetu Kapoor.
