Alia Bhatt is one of the most phenomenal actresses of her time. The actress began her career with the movie, Student Of The Year, and since then, she never had to look back. Alia continued to do wonders on the silver screen and also ventured into different professional careers, like being the global ambassador of the luxury brand, Gucci and founding her clothing brand, Ed-a-mamma. Talking about her personal life, Alia is married to Ranbir Kapoor and they are parents to their blue-eyed baby girl, Raha Kapoor. In a recent interview, Alia shared that one thing that she would like to do differently in her parenting journey than her parents.
Recently, Alia Bhatt sat for an interview with her mom, Soni Razdan for The Nod. While conversing, Alia was asked about what she would like to do differently than Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt to raise Raha. To this, Alia gave an adorable reply. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress shared that she would like Raha to develop an interest in art and learn at least one instrument, one sport, and one dance form.

Alia added that her parents left it up to her to decide what she wanted to do, and she is unsure about whether it was right or wrong. Alia further added that she wants Raha to learn these things quite early in her life so that she would form a deep-rooted interest in these skills. Alia also added that the one thing she regrets is missing out on learning how to play an instrument. Alia can be quoted as saying:
"The only thing that I’d do differently is to make sure Raha takes a liking to an art. That she learns at least one instrument, one dance form, and one sport, because these three skills will be very helpful for her in the long run. I know there is no right or wrong to this, but you left it up to me to decide what I like. I want to start Raha young, so she takes a liking to it. My only regret is not knowing how to play an instrument."
Going further in the interview, Alia Bhatt also talked about moving out of her home when she was only 23 and added that she would not let it happen to her daughter, Raha. The actress added that moving out from home actually helped her to come to terms with her very own ways. Sharing how her parents would not even sometimes know in which city the actress was, Alia added:
"I was barely 23 when I moved out of the house. I’d be away on long shooting schedules, and sometimes you wouldn’t even know which city I was in. Now when I look back, I’m like, wow, it was very cool of you to let me do that so early on because that actually helped me come into my own."
In the concluding segment of the interview, Alia Bhatt shared the parenting tips her papa, Mahesh Bhatt gave her. The actress shared that her father told her that she would make the biggest mistake if she would not let Raha fall down and manage herself all on her own because if that happens, the little one won't be able to learn how to pick herself up. Sharing how it was a defining point in her life, Alia stated:
"Papa recently told me: 'If you don't let Raha fall down, it will be the biggest mistake you’ll make because she’ll never learn how to pick herself up'. So that was a defining point in my life and our relationship. But I do feel I left home too soon — and I won’t let that happen with Raha."

According to a report by BollywoodLife, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt planned to name their underconstructed Krishna Raj Bungalow in Mumbai, Bandra, after Raha. The same report also suggested that Neetu Kapoor would be the co-owner of this Rs. 250 crore property, and the entire Kapoor clan would live under the same roof once it's ready.
