The talk about celebrities never stops. Be it with their personal lives, professional, or even minute details, the fans never cease a chance to scrutinise the celebs' lives. There have been talks about the salaries of those who always remain in close contact with the celebs, such as the nannies or the bodyguards. As per the reports, Bollywood celebrities have been speculated to pay lakhs to those individuals who assist them. But recently, Alia Bhatt's bodyguard revealed the truth behind the same.
Yusuf Ibrahim, who has provided his service to A-listers such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Ananya Pandey was recently asked about the buzz about the bodyguards' salary to be in lakhs. Talking to Siddharth Kannan, Yusuf shared that the salaries are provided to them by the person who hires them, by the producer of any film they are working on, and even by event organisers. Yusuf shared that the salary ranges from Rs. 25K to Rs. 1 lakh, but that solely depends on how much increment that particular bodyguard is getting. He also added that nobody pays that much salary of 1 lakh per day. Talking more about the same, Yusuf mentioned:
"How much do you think their salaries are? It would be anything around Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 lakh probably. Then it depends on how much increment you get. This is a monthly salary, not daily wages. Nobody pays too much. Tomorrow if I say that I was paid Rs 1 lakh per day, then I can’t justify that. Nobody is going to give me that. There are so many others waiting to do this job."
Going further in the interview, Yusuf shared that the figures that are being speculated about their salaries are not at all true. When asked about the exact amount the celeb bodyguards get, Yusuf stated that it depends on how many years that person was with that star, and how many increments they received. In the same interview, Alia's bodyguard shared how the celebs help them, which is really heart-winning. As per Yusuf, the celebs provide the school fees of the bodyguards' kids and even pay the medical expenses of them. In Yusuf's words:
"A star pays you a decent amount that you can comfortably run your house. They take care of their children’s school fees, their medical expenses. At least the people I have worked with, they tell us to let them know when we need medical help and pay our kids’ fees.”
It has always been reported that the bodyguards of the celebrities' salary packages are either in lakhs or in crores. Moreover, it was Salman Khan's trustworthy bodyguard, Shera, who once reacted to the same. Speculation about him was rife that he was being paid such a hefty amount, which is similar to an Indian CEO. Well, it's not the same. Talking to Zoom, Shera expressed his shock over people comparing his salary to the Indian CEOs. He mentioned while this isn't at all true, he is thinking as people are talking about this a lot, then, he actually should get that much of a salary. For the unversed, Shera was hired by Salman's brother, Sohail, and reportedly, his salary was Rs. 15 lakh per month and Rs. 2 crore annually.
