Noah Howley's Alien: Earth has been streaming on Hulu and FX since August 12, 2025, and it's all set to come to India through Disney+ on August 13, 2025. The recently released TV series continues the classic Alien franchise, but instead of being set in space, it is set on Earth. The series showcases the world of 2120, where huge corporations have taken over the duty of running the world. One of the corporations made synthetic children who carry around human minds in their adult robotic bodies, and around them, the story revolves.

While Alien: Earth introduces several actors, one of them carved a special place in our hearts, and it's none other than Adarsh Gourav. He is the only Indian actor in Alien: Earth, who plays the role of 'Slightly', a synthetic child, in the sci-fi series. His acting skills have been praised over all these years, and even though, he reportedly doesn't come from a filmy background, his dedication, hard work, reslilience and passion took him from being a band frontman to a Hollywood actor, with his debut being happened as a child actor, with none other than, the 'King' of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Adarsh Gourav was born in July 1994, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. His father was an employee of the Central Bank of India, while his mother used to take care of the family. Adarsh was from a Telugu-speaking family, and since childhood, his parents instilled in him a love for culture and language. He completed his schooling at Loyola School and then moved on to Lilavatibai Podar and Narsee Monjee College. Adarsh had a hobby of drawing fictional characters in his notebooks, and he never knew that he would turn to acting in the coming years of his life.

Adarsh Gourav shifted his base to Mumbai with his family when his father was transferred for work. Following this, the actor began his career, but not with acting; it was with music. He has been trained in Hindustani classical music for nine years, and has learnt everything about the same from several gurus. Adarsh's initial dream was to be a playback singer.

However, during his college years, Adarsh performed on several live gigs. Reportedly, he was spotted by Subhash Ghai and music legend Ilaiyaraaja, who gave him an opportunity to sing in the films. Initially, although he was not much publicised, he used to work on several projects and lent his voice to several advertisements and jingles, as reported. He was the lead vocalist of progressive rock band Steepsky and the frontman of indie band Oak Island, which also got featured on MTV Indies.

Adarsh Gourav's journey in the glamour world

Years of hard work, and Adarsh Gourav reached an international stage with Alien: Earth, one of the most anticipated TV series. Well, Adrash has a starry beginning, as his first acting project was with none other than Shah Rukh Khan. He was still in school back then, when in 2010, he was noticed by a casting member, who asked him to audition. He followed the same path, gave the audition, and bagged the opportunity to work in My Name Is Khan, featuring Shah Rukh. Adarsh played the role of young 'Rizwan Khan' in the movie, and instantly grabbed the audience's attention.

While completing his schooling, Adarsh Gourav worked on several small projects and commercials, and also took formal training in acting from The Drama School, Mumbai. In the following years, Adarsh continued to work on several projects such as Madly, Mom, Rukh, Die Trying, and Leila. Year 2021 has proved to be a career breakthrough for Adarsh as his role as 'Balram Halwai' in Netflix series, The White Tiger, brought him a BAFTA Nomination and an Independent Spirit Award Nomination. He received immense praise for his role in the series, and not only from the Indian audience, but his role brought him international recognition as well.

For working in The White Tiger, Adarsh Gourav reportedly worked in a tea stall, so that he could step into the role with more authenticity. His character was magnetic, raw and obviously real. Following this big break, Adarsh also worked in Explorations, alongside Meryl Streep and Kit Harington. He also worked in Amazon Prime's Hostel Daze, Netflix's Guns & Gulaabs, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, starring Ananya Panday and Woh Bhi Din The. Each of his roles had something special in them, which made Adarsh stand out and shine.

While the series is set against the backdrop of Earth, it's dark-themed and creepy, and it's mostly a slow burn, but it hooked the audience from start to finish. Well, the actors bonded with Adarsh way too much, and in several interviews, they heaped praises on the actor.

Although it's not confirmed whether it is verified, several pieces of information available in the public domain state that Adarsh's net worth is around this budget only. Talking about his personal life, Adarsh has been in a long-term relationship with Mumbai-based graphic designer, Radhika Kolgaonkar. The couple reportedly has been with each other for several years. Hindustan Times earlier confirmed the same, through a source, who revealed that neither of them likes to talk much about their personal life.

Adarsh Gourav, although an outsider, his resilience took him to the peak of success. His story proved that with hard work, dedication and passion, along with a sprinkle of luck, people can reach where they didn't even imagine to be initially.
