Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most cherishable heroes in Bollywood. He has not only mesmerised his fans with his acting prowess but also swooned millions of hearts with his dancing, dialogue delivery, killer looks and much more. However, at times, he too, did some damage on his film's sets, and now, one of his co-stars, a British-Pakistani actor, Alyy Khan, opened up about such an incident during the filming of Don 2. Talking about the film, it starred Shah Rukh alongside Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, and undoubtedly, the movie was a blockbuster hit.
In an interview with Dawn News, Alyy Khan recalled the scene with Shah Rukh Khan, from the film, Don 2, when they met a huge accident. The British-Pakistani actor mentioned that it was on a Sunday when they were shooting the chase sequence in Berlin, and he was seated inside the car right beside Shah Rukh. Moreover, Farhan Akhtar was hiding in the back seat so as to monitor the making of the scene. Moreover, they were equipped with lots of cameras and high-powered lights, all of which were worth 300,000 Euros, which, upon conversion to Indian currency, amounted to Rs. 2.5 crore.

Further, recalling the story when the accident took place on the set of Don 2, Aly mentioned that Shah Rukh was extremely confident about his driving skills. But during the shooting time, Shah Rukh was behind the wheel, and he somehow missed his mark by a few moments. As planned, Priyanka Chopra too, drove towards their car, they exchanged a look and Shah Rukh delivered the line, "Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai." However, a stunt car that was supposed to reverse and brake rammed into them due to the misplacement of Shah Rukh's car by a mark, which led to the incident. Aly shared:
“On the bonnet, there are HMI lights and two large cameras. All in all, this is equipment worth 300,000 Euro. Obviously, this has affected the car’s balance. As he turned left, because he was late by a couple of seconds, the other stunt rammed directly into us. Immediately, Shah Rukh looked at me and asked if I was okay. I said I was fine. Everyone gathered around, checking if everything was okay. But there was a loss of 300,000 Euro, because the camera equipment had been damaged. Gone in a flash.”
Earlier, in a behind-the-scenes video of the same film, Shah Rukh addressed the car crash on the sets, which greatly embarrassed him. He confessed that it was his 'overconfidence' that resulted in the collision with the stuntman's car, leading to a huge loss for the makers. He stated:
“Maybe I was overconfident, but I just went wrong, and bam! It was very embarrassing, one of the most embarrassing time I’ve had on a film shoot.”

Alyy Khan is also a phenomenal actor and has worked in many Hollywood, Lollywood and Bollywood films. Apart from Don 2, he was seen in multiple films, including A Mighty Heart, Traitor, Bahadur, Actor In Law, and Mogul Mowgli, among others. However, he had once complained about Shah Rukh Khan's acting in Don 2 to the film's director, Farhan Akhtar. During his candid conversation on Nadir Ali's podcast, Alyy, being unimpressed by Shah Rukh’s performance in Don 2, revealed what he had told Farhan. He said:
“I was like, ‘Farhan, bata isko, yeh toh k-k-k-Kiran kar raha hai’. Kaunse school mein aagaye hain hum bhai? Ya toh hum uss 90s ke school mein khelein, ya toh aaj ke modern zamane mein. But I was giving a more grounded performance; we weren’t on the same page. I was laughing during the rehearsal, but if you do it on set, then that’s what’ll be in the film. So, I needed to bring my performance to his level…”
