Amaal Opens Up On Anu Malik's MeToo Allegations Amid Clash With Nehal Chudasama, 'My Family..'

The recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Farah Khan, came with a lot of drama, confrontation and revelations. Contestant, Amaal Mallik, who had been making headlines after Nehal Chudasama accused him of touching her inappropriately, opened up about a past MeToo controversy of his family.

Did Amaal Mallik mention Anu Malik’s MeToo controversy?

In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, when Farah Khan addressed the allegations made by Nehal against Amaal, the musician looked a little emotional and shared a personal story with Nehal. Even though, the name was beeped in the episode, it was obvious that Amaal spoke about Anu Malik’s MeToo controversy and explained the entire situation to Nehal. After that, Nehal shared that she reacted in that way because of a past trauma. Amaal had said:

"Nehal, I’ll tell you something very serious. Anu Malik is already blamed for this nonsense, and I’m not like that. When it happened, he called my father, saying that he needed our support. I straight-up said in an interview that my family is my mom, dad, Armaan, his wife, and my dogs. I said I am not going to support it because there’s no smoke without fire."

Nehal Chudasama’s accusations against Amaal Mallik

The entire incident happened during a captaincy task inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. In the task, Nehal was a 'writer', who was playing aggressively, whereas Amaal was a 'duster', who was doing his job calmly. During the task, Nehal laid down on the floor to complete the task and after that she accused Amaal for touching her inappropriately. This led to an emotional breakdown by Amaal, who apologised several times to her, but Nehal seemed to ignore it. 

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi appreciated Amaal Mallik’s dedication

Later, in the episode, Farah Khan was joined by Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, who were promoting their upcoming film, Jolly LLB 3. While the two were speaking to the contestant, Arshad Warsi praised Amaal Mallik for his hard work and dedication. The actor said:

"Yeh saare gaane Amaal ne hi likhe hai. Jab sab bache neeche khelte the, tab woh riyaaz karta tha. I’m so proud of you."

Allegations on Anu Malik during the MeToo movement

During the MeToo movement in 2018, reportedly several women from the music industry accused Anu Malik of inappropriate behaviour. Allegedly, singers like Sona Mohapatra, Shweta Pandit and Neha Bhasin spoke up against him. Even though, Anu Malik denied the allegations, his public reputation was impacted.
