Amaal Mallik Shared His Thoughts On Gaurav Khanna Winning 'BB19' With The Press, 'So Big Respect...'

On December 7, 2025, Bigg Boss 19 finally aired its most anticipated grand finale. The participants who reached the final stage were Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Farrhana Bhatt, and Pranit More. In the end, however, the diamond-studded trophy was lifted by none other than Gaurav Khanna. To many fans' disappointment, Amaal Mallik finished in fifth place. Following his exit from the show, the music composer was seen interacting with the media. During the interaction, he revealed his opinion on Gaurav winning the reality show.  

Amaal Mallik commented on Gaurav Khanna winning Bigg Boss 19 

Most people who have been following the hit television show might be aware that this season started with 16 participants. Among them, Gaurav was one of the strongest contestants and a fan favourite to win the show. Throughout the 3 and a half months-long journey in the house, Gaurav had established himself with his unique gameplay, which eventually led him to win the trophy this year.  

Gaurav's dynamic with fellow participant, Amaal, had been a huge topic of discussion among viewers this season. It is widely known that the two were not on friendly terms during their time together in the house. However, now that Gaurav has been declared the show's winner, Amaal has come out and shared his thoughts with the press. He stated: 

"Everyone used to ask, What will GK do? Will GK win the trophy? I think GK has played very well. A lot of people said he (played from) back foot. But everyone has their own strategy. Everyone has their own way of dealing with reality shows and how to present themselves. And he's been on television for so many years. He's been a star on television. Ek rishta ban jata hai audience ke saath.” 

Furthermore, Amaal also shared that he understands the problem Gaurav faces, owing to Gaurav's calm personality. Irrespective of his personality, it is now undeniable that Gaurav is the ultimate winner of the Salman Khan-hosted show. To quote the words said by Amaal: 

"So no matter what personality that person has, even if he changes himself, there's always a back of the mind that if I do this, people will think this way. So I understand his problem. But in the end, the one who wins, wins. So I think GK has done well. So big respect and happy for him.”  

What did Amaal Mallik do after emerging as the fourth runner-up in BB19? 

Although Amaal did not win the show, after returning home to his family post his exit from the Bigg Boss 19 house, several videos have surfaced online showing him happily reunited with his brother, Armaan Malik, mother, Jyothi Malik, and other loved ones. Celebrating his successful run and return from the show, Amaal could be seen cutting a cake in one of the videos. While Amaal’s family sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for him, his mother commented that this was the “birth of a  new Amaal,” referring to his life-changing stint on the show. 

Additionally, in another video, Amaal was also seen watching his BB19 finale performance on TV alongside his family. Clearly proud of his brother, Armaan appeared to be happily cheering and clapping for Amaal. The rest of his family members also joined him in doing the same.
