Amaal Mallik Wants 'Nonsensical Romance' With Tanya Mittal To STOP, Says, 'Its Going To Tarnish...'

It's already been a few days since Salman Khan's hit reality show, Bigg Boss 19, reached its grand finale on December 7, 2025. Throughout the long journey of the show, many contestants grabbed the media headlines, be it for the way they behaved during the tasks or for other reasons.

Now, even after the show has ended, the contestants remain the talk of the town. Eagle-eyed fans closely monitor their equations outside the show. One such fan recently shared a clip on social media showing Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal dancing together on the show. With the video creating significant buzz on the internet, Amaal took it upon himself and urged fans not to link him with her.  

Amaal Mallik asks fans to stop linking him with Tanya in a 'romantic' way  

On December 15, that is, Monday night, the music composer took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to address the viral video and request that fans not link him to his former BB19 contestant, Tanya Mittal. In the long note Amaal penned, he also expressed his gratitude to Tanya for taking care of him during the show. Reiterating that it was just a task that both of them had to perform on the show, he wrote: 

“Bhai, yeh ek ‘TASK’ tha, and it’s not right if I act all egoistic and don’t do what the host or guests come and ask of us. If the show needs some people to pair up for a task, do a dance skit, or whatever it is… we have to. That’s the channel creative, and you guys are constantly making this into some nonsensical romance.” 

Additionally, Amaal extended his sincere apologies to Tanya for the hurtful things he said to her during their brief time together on the show. He even apologised to Tanya's entire fandom. He wrote: 

“I am grateful to @itanyamittal for the care & concern she has had for me in this season. I know I’ve said things which must’ve hurt her and her fandom as well, but I am truly sorry for whatever I did in anger and to poke her. Just know such things happen and that’s how one realises his or her shortcomings and works on them.” 

According to Amaal, people should stop expecting both him and Tanya to interact in a certain way. The reason for this is that if fans don't stop, it could ‘tarnish her image'. He stated: 

“So I request you all to please stop linking us & expecting us to be interacting in a certain way. Linking her constantly with me is going to tarnish her image & It is not something she or any girl deserves to be put through. I understand you liked our friendship/ camaraderie, but the fans on either side must learn to respect people and their space…My #Amaalians I request you to stop mud slinging & I request #TaniaFans to also respectfully start doing the same! Thank you.”

Die-hard fans of the BB19 show who have followed it from the start might be aware that initially, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik seemed to be pretty tight-knit. Many viewers even praised Tanya for lending her support to Amaal, especially when he was struggling emotionally while being in the house. Soon, their close friendship became a hot topic among fans.

However, as the show progressed, the duo's dynamic shifted in a way that no one thought it would. Even after that, fans could not stop shipping them together as they interpreted their actions as signs of a possible romance. The limelight did not shift from either Tanya or Amaal as both of them made it to the finale. While Tanya finished in the fourth position, Amaal ended in the fifth.
