Ameesha Patel Opens Up About Marriages In Bollywood, Reveals She Doesn't Want Salman To Be Married

Ameesha Patel recently completed 25 years in the film industry and, in an interview, spoke about the bond she shares with the Bollywood stars. The actress sat for an interview with Filmymantra's YouTube channel, where she discussed her equation with her co-stars over the years. The actress also got candid about marriages in Bollywood and revealed that she had planned the baby shower for Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata.

Ameesha Patel doesn't want Salman Khan to get married

Ameesha Patel has chosen not to get married but has always shared her unfiltered opinions on those who have taken the plunge. In the conversation with Filmymantra, the actress once again shed some light on married couples in Bollywood and revealed why she doesn't want Salman Khan to be a married man. During the conversation, Ameesha revealed that she has witnessed several marriages, some of which are harmonious, such as that of Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata.

However, some fall apart, like the marriage of Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne, but they are still able to mend things and raise kids together. Nonetheless, when it came to Salman Khan, Ameesha had a stern opinion that the actor should remain single. She further explained herself and stated that Salman was cool as he was and should not get hitched. She was quoted as saying:

"I have seen all kinds of relationships around me; I see harmonious ones like Sanju, and then there is someone like Hrithik, who has had a divorce, but they are (Hrithik and Sussanne) co-parenting beautifully, and they are the best of friends now. With Salman, honestly, I don’t want to see him get married; he is cool as he is."

Ameesha Patel had previously reacted to fans urging her to marry Salman

It was earlier in January 2025, when Ameesha Patel's fans, during her AMA session on Twitter, asked her to marry Salman Khan. Reacting to this, in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha shared how her fans were saying that she and Salman are both eligible and good-looking people. Thus, they should get married and have attractive children. Ameesha humorously added that it was a great reason for people to ask her to marry Salman Khan. Ameesha can be quoted as saying:

"Fans actually have raised this question to me recently on Ask Amy Twitter chat. They’re like okay he is so eligible, you’re so eligible, you’re so good-looking, please get married to have good-looking babies. And I was like wow, that’s a great reason. I think the world likes seeing beautiful people come together. They wanted to see me and Hrithik come together post Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And when he announced his marriage, they were heartbroken. They were like, no this can’t happen."

Years later, Salman found a deep bond with Katrina Kaif, and they dated for almost four years. The actor started dating Romanian actress, Iulia Vantur in 2012 and have been together ever since, but there have been no wedding bells for them either.
