Bollywood actress, Ameesha Patel is regarded as one of the most talented actresses in the Hindi film industry, who ruled during the 2000s. She made her Bollywood debut with the film, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, opposite Hrithik Roshan in 2000. After that, Ameesha went on to prove her mettle in acting in films like Humraaz, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Aap Mujhe Achhe Lagne Lage, Elaan, Bhool Bhulaiyya, Race 2, and others. Later, the actress took a hiatus from acting but kept interacting with her fans via her social media.
Recently, Ameesha Patel graced The Kapil Sharma Show with her Gadar 2 co-star, Sunny Deol, and now, two new promos of the upcoming episode have been shared online. In the promo, the show's host, Kapil complimented Sunny as he had come in his 'Tara Singh' avatar from his upcoming film, and the latter joked that he had to come in a truck as he was expecting Archana Puran Singh to leave with him. Meanwhile, Ameesha recalled how while during the shoot of her romantic scenes for the film, Humraaz, a crowd of fans got agitated with Sunny’s brother, Bobby Deol, for romancing her. She said:
“They said to him, ‘Chhod isko, yeh teri bhai ki amanat hai’.”

Kapil looked at Ameesha, who looked super gorgeous dressed in a pink-hued saree, and said that she was looking like an expensive ice cream. However, he further went on to add that now he could understand why Sunny’s character in the film, Gadar, went all the way to Pakistan for her. Kapil's comment left Ameesha and Sunny in splits, and the duo couldn't stop laughing.
In an interview with News18, Ameesha Patel shared that she is hopeful about getting more offers in future so that she doesn’t have to stay away from the movies for a long time. However, when she was asked about why she has been away from the screens, Ameesha revealed that she was waiting for good scripts to be written again. She said:
“You need to ask producers, directors and actors as to what’s keeping me away from doing more films. It’s very difficult to match up with the opportunities that I’ve had with Humraaz (2002), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) or even Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd (2007). Currently, we see films but we don’t see good writing in them. In the past couple of films, there have been some very forgettable films that have happened in Bollywood. And not only me but I think every actor is also looking forward to doing something that they can chew on and sink their teeth into, which is a very rare thing now.”

“Why can't an educated person be involved in the performing arts? Because it was art for me.”
