Ameesha Patel Reveals Why She Is Single At 50 Despite Men Proposing Her For Marriage, 'I Have Given'

Bollywood actress, Ameesha Patel, has been the forever crush of all the '90s kids. However, the Gadar actress is single at the age of 50. Ameesha made her Bollywood debut with the movie, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, but in reality, she has not yet had her Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai moment. The actress shared why she has been single at the age of 50 and revealed what was the thing that actually held her back from getting married.

Ameesha Patel reveals why she is not married even at the age of 50

Ameesha recently appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast and revealed the real reason behind why she has been single. She shared that she was fine with the idea of dating if her partner was supportive of her career goals. She also remembered how her first and last relationships ended, as she had given her career the utmost priority. Speaking on why she has been single, she remembered how she gave her best in love, but her ex-partner did not want her to be in the public eye. Ameesha shared:

"People who love you will let your career prosper. I have lost a lot in my career, and I have also lost a lot for love. I have given up both things for the other, and I think that I have learnt from both. For example, I had one serious relationship, and it was before I joined films. He belonged to a very big industrial family from South Bombay, like mine. Had the same background and education, and the family setup was the same. It ticked all the boxes, but when I decided to go into film, my partner did not want a person in the public eye, and that is how I chose my career over love."

Ameesha Patel shares that people half her age want to take her for a date

Ameesha also revealed that she is fine with the idea of marriage and shared how she is open to it. The actress wants to find someone worthy of the same and stated that 'where there is a will, there is a way'. She shared that she gets proposals from good families and people half her age who have the ambition to take her for a date. Ameesha shared:

"So the person who finds me through everything and mauke par chauka maarlege (takes advantage of the situation) will be my person. I still get all kinds of proposals from a lot of well-to-do families. People half my age want to take me out on a date, and I am open to it because a man has to be mentally mature. I have met a lot of people older than me who have the IQ of a fly."

Ameesha Patel recollects how she sacrificed both her love and career

The actress remembered chasing her schoolboys back when she was younger. She revealed that she was away from marital commitment, as she revealed that men who proposed to her have always wanted her to quit movies and become a homemaker. Ameesha did mention losing a lot in both her love life and her career. She did recollect giving up both things, but has not forgotten her lessons. Professionally, the actress is best known for her roles as 'Sakina' in Gadar and Gadar 2. Her on-screen chemistry with 'Tara Singh' a.k.a Sunny Deol has been etched in the minds of her fans.
