Amitabh Bachchan and his family have been leading the headlines for quite some months as the family is reportedly undergoing some tiff with their daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai. The actor, who is the face of Indian cinema, has been ruling the small screen for many years as a host of the popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. As the latest season of the show came to an end, the actor was seen getting emotional on the set.
In the latest clip from the show doing rounds on social media, Amitabh Bachchan was seen getting teary-eyed as he bid farewell to the show during the final episode. The actor, who, otherwise, keeps his emotions at bay, couldn’t hold back his tears as he bid goodbye to his viewers. With folded hands, he thanked his audience and said:
“Devi aur Sajjano, ab hum jaa rahe aur kal se yeh manch ab nahi sajega. Apno se yeh keh pana ki kal se hum nahi aayenge, I don't have the courage to say these words, neither do I wish to say…Main Amitabh Bachchan iss daur ke liye, iss manch se akhri baar kehne jaa raha hu, Shubraatri.”

As soon as the video surfaced on social media, Amitabh Bachchan’s fans and several other netizens started speculating that the show was coming to an end. One of the users wrote, “Why is he leaving?” Another commented, “I’m not sure but the last few episodes have been very emotional and everyone’s giving him tributes as if it’s his last.”

It was in 2000 when Amitabh Bachchan hosted the first season of the game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. When the second season of the show was aired in 2005, it was cut short by the makers, owing to Mr. Bachchan falling ill. In 2010, Mr Bachchan returned to host the fourth season of the show, and since then, there has been no looking back for him.

Talking about the Bachchan clan leading the limelight for speculated tension between the family and their bahu, Aishwarya Rai, it is rumoured that all is not well in their paradise. Lately, there have been many instances, where the family was seen getting uncomfortable in each other’s presence. It is also rumoured that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have parted ways and are living separately.
Earlier, it was reported that Amitabh Bachchan had gifted his first home, Pratiksha, to his daughter, Shweta Bachchan. A report in the Economic Times stated that the transfer of ownership was done by Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, on November 8, 2023, and they had paid a total stamp duty worth Rs. 50.65 lakhs. The report also revealed that the bungalow, which is spread over a total of 16,840 sq feet, has a market value of over Rs. 50.63 crores.
