Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, is a co-founder of a health-tech platform, Aara Health. Currently, she is studying at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. It is noteworthy to mention that just like her nani, Jaya Bachchan and mom, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Navya also has her own voice. As we all know, with popularity and stardom comes criticism; Navya also faced the online wrath. In a recent interview, she spoke about the following.
In a recent interview with Variety India, Navya Naveli Nanda opened up about facing online criticism. Navya shared that she doesn’t let the negativity take a toll on her. She mentioned that, as she works in the development and non-profit space, she needs to stay connected with the people. She added that the criticism helped her to do better work. She was quoted as saying:
"I try not to give in to what I see on social media. I have faced my fair share of hate on social media as well, but I try not to let it get to me because my belief is that I actively chose to be on social media as a public figure because of the work that I do. And especially in the work that I'm involved in, which is development work and non-profit work, it's very important for me to be receptive of what people have to say about me and my work because it allows me to do it better and to give them what they want."

Navya shared that although she needs to use social media to stay connected with the people and do things as per their choices, she has made it clear to set boundaries. Navya highlighted that she uses social media for her professional work and keeps her personal life private. She was quoted as saying:
"But I try to kind of stay away from letting that change my perception of myself. I try to use social media as much as I possibly can to put out more of my work; I don't share a lot of my personal life on social media."

In a 2025 interview with Elle India, Navya talked about her close bond with her nani, Jaya Bachchan and mom, Shweta Bachchan Nanda. For the uninitiated, Navya is the daughter of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Delhi-based industrialist, Nikhil Nanda. During the conversation, Navya mentioned that both her mom and nani taught her how to balance between strength and vulnerability. She called both of them, bold and confident. She also expressed her wish to be like them. Navya was quoted as saying:
"Both Mom and Nani have never shied away from being who they are: confident and bold. They embody the kind of woman I would hope to shape into one day."

Navya is not the only child of her parents, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda. She has a brother, Agastya Nanda. For those unaware, Navya’s brother, Agastya, followed in his grandparents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s footsteps and made his silver screen debut with the 2025 film, Ikkis. Currently, Navya is pursuing a blended MBA programme at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
