The veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor has won millions of hearts with her excellent performance in the Bollywood industry. She had created magic on the silver screen with her outstanding acting skills. Most of all, it was her amazing chemistry with Chintu, aka Rishi Kapoor that had left their fans in awe. The first time they came together on the big screen was for the film, Zehreela Insaan (1974).
For the unversed, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor's engagement had taken place at a wedding in Rishi’s family in Delhi. The sudden announcement and engagement gave Neetu jitters, and her nerves had to be calmed down with a glass of bubbly given to her by Rishi Kapoor. They had got married soon after. The couple had embraced parenthood with the arrival of her daughter, Riddhima Sahni Kapoor.

Neetu Kapoor had once talked about her experience of co-starring with the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan in the film, Yaarana. The movie's hit song, Sara Zamana Haseeno Ka Deewana, was shot in Kolkata, and Neetu Kapoor had broken down into tears as she was missing Rishi Kapoor.
While the video featured both Neetu and Amitabh, she had revealed that she had headed back to Mumbai, in between the shooting. She had shared that as she was newly engaged at that time, and she didn't want to be away from her fiance, Rishi Kapoor.

In an old interview with Rediff, Neetu Kapoor had opened up on how she couldn’t stay away from Rishi Kapoor and had cried on the sets of Yaarana. She had also talked about how her co-star, Amitabh Bachchan had helped her. Talking about the same, the veteran actress had said:
“I remember we were in Calcutta shooting for that stage song in a stadium (Yaarana). We were sitting together, and I was crying, tears rolling down my cheeks. I had just got engaged and I didn't want to be away from Chintu (Rishi Kapoor). The phones in Calcutta weren't working. And Chintu was upset that he couldn't get through to me. Amit asked me why I was crying. I said, ‘I want to go back.’ He replied, ‘You will.’”
Though they were in Kolkata, shooting for their film at that time, Amitabh Bachchan had tried his level best to help Neetu to reach safely to Rishi Kapoor. Neetu had left for Bombay amidst the shooting as Amitabh had convinced her that they would manage the song without her. She had shared:
“He called the producer, asked him to book my ticket back to Bombay, and said they'd manage the song without me. They did. You will notice I am there for half the song and then I disappear.”
Though Neetu had taken a backseat from films for a long time now, Amitabh Bachchan had worked with her husband, Rishi Kapoor. They both were last seen together in the film, 102 Not Out. However, Rishi Kapoor’s death had left Amitabh shattered and the latter had felt ‘destroyed’.

When Rishi Kapoor had died in April 2020, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his Twitter handle and had penned down an emotional note for the actor’s departed soul. He had tweeted:
“He’s GONE... ! Rishi Kapoor... gone... just passed away... I am destroyed!”
The veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor is an avid social media user. She never misses an opportunity to share throwback pictures with the late Rishi Kapoor, her daughter, Riddhima Kapoor, and her son, Ranbir Kapoor. She also shares memorable snippets from her hit films.
On June 10, 2021, Neetu Kapoor had taken to her IG handle and had shared a video of Amitabh and herself from their movie, Yaarana. In the video, we could see Amitabh wearing a white shirt and flared pants, while Neetu had donned a wine coloured shimmery top paired with a white skirt. Along with it, she had penned down a note revealing that the clip from her 1981 film, Yaarana is close to her heart as she had choreographed it. The note could be read as:
"This montage from Yarana is very special as I choreographed it (sic)."
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan, Neetu Kapoor, and Rishi Kapoor’s friendship dates back to the 1970s and will remain immortal forever.
