Amitabh Bachchan Recalls Sudden Encounter With Michael Jackson, Says, 'Almost Fainted But Kept Calm'

Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most successful superstars in the Hindi film industry. Over the years, he has been a part of many hit Bollywood films and has showcased his acting skills. Big B is currently hosting the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 and entertaining the audience with his wit and charm. During the show, the respectable actor shared his encounter with the famous pop singer, Michael Jackson.

Amitabh Bachchan almost fainted after seeing Michael Jackson

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan shared an interesting story with Padma Shree awardees, Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang, contestants of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Despite his busy schedule on the set, the actor interacts warmly with the audience and the contestants. During one such interaction, he recalled the time when pop sensation, Michael Jackson knocked on his door in New York.

Big B was candidly conversing with Dr. Rani Bang, during which he asked the latter her favourite singer. The Padma Shree awardee said that she liked the late Michael Jackson. As Amitabh had encountered with the pop singer in the past, he couldn’t control his excitement and shared the incident. He mentioned that despite the fame, the singer was humble. He said:

“I was staying at a hotel in New York when, one day, I heard a knock at my door. When I opened it, I was stunned to see Michael Jackson standing outside. I almost fainted but managed to keep my composure. I greeted him, and he inquired if this was my room. When I confirmed it, he realized he had mistakenly come to the wrong room.”

Amitabh shared another incident related to Michael Jackson that occurred when the latter had a show in America. Big B flew there to watch the show, but no rooms were available at the hotel. Apparently, all 350 rooms were booked for the singer and his team. However, the actor managed to get the back seats of the auditorium and watched the show. Praising the musician, Big B said:

“He was an extraordinary artist; his singing and dancing were phenomenal. The energy in the arena was electrifying, with thunderous applause and a truly magical atmosphere.”
