The legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, needs no introduction. His great contribution to the world of cinema speaks volumes about him. The actor was born to the veteran poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and social activist, Teji Bachchan on October 11, 1942. He got married to veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan in 1973 and the couple is blessed with two beautiful kids, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Time and again, we have seen the actor talking about his childhood memories. And now, once again, Amitabh recalled how his father reacted when he got hurt during a boxing match.
Recently, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and recalled an old memory from his childhood. Taking to his blog, the actor shared his father's message to him when he got hurt during a boxing match in school. He stated that recently, his wife, Jaya Bachchan came across his father's book in their library. Elaborating on it, Amitabh wrote:
"Yes and the fascination gets justified when in the library storing Babuji’s books, you quite by chance come across one that has been signed and dedicated to you, with a short message ...One such, came across to me by the wife... a bit moth eaten but still in some legible condition .. marked to me from Cambridge in 1953, during his study there for his thesis .."

Further, in his blog, Amitabh shared that when he was in class 4th or 5th, he participated in a boxing match in his school. Talking about the same, the actor revealed that after he got defeated in the match, he wrote a letter to his father and elaborated on the whole incident. He further mentioned that after some days, his father sent him a book on boxing which included his signature, the date of purchase and destination and a quote from him. His father's quote can be read as:
"Good hard blows are delights to the mind'!!!"
This is not the first time when Amitabh Bachchan had shared an old memory from his childhood. For instance, earlier, in one of the episodes of the game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, the actor shared an incident from his childhood. Talking about the same, the legendary actor revealed that when he was a kid, his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan used to take him for morning walks and would often ask him to repeat multiplication tables for practice.

Every now and then, Amitabh shares endearing tales from his childhood. For instance, in one of the episodes of KBC 14, the actor recalled a funny incident from his schooling days. Recalling the most beautiful phase of his life, the Coolie actor revealed that he used to jump the boundary wall of his college, Sherwood College, in Nainital in order to visit the nearby girls' school and see them.
