Veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan needs no introduction as he is the ultimate 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood. His contribution to Indian cinema is commendable, and his legacy is unmatchable. Even at the age of 80, Big B has been working tirelessly and inspiring all the millennials out there. From doing movies to advertisements and reality shows, Big B has been fulfilling all his work commitments and how.
Currently, Big B is hosting the popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati season 14. In the latest episode, the host, Amitabh Bachchan interacted with the contestant, Sanjeev Kumar and talked about the love and gifts that he receives from his massive fans. Big B also recalled the time when he used to earn Rs. 300-400 and would survive on puchkas as he didn't have enough money for food.

In the episode, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about the love that he receives from his fans and called the audience his customer as he believes his business wouldn't run without them. He also revealed that he gets plenty of gifts from his fans every day and talked about his wife, Jaya Bachchan's reaction when he takes those gifts home. Thanking his fans for their love and support, Big B said:
"Main bata nahi sakta sir ghar mein vatavaran bahut kharab hojaata hai sir, aap samjh gaye na sir, woh poochti hain humse Kahan se aaya ye sab? Hum kehte hain, Bhaiya humare prashansak hai ye sab. Abhi rakhenge kahan usko? Sir saara kamra bhar gaya hai."
During one of the segments of the show, Amitabh Bachchan recalled his job days and revealed that he used to get Rs. 300-400 as salary. Recollecting the memories of Victoria Memorial, Kolkata, Big B went on to talk about his love for Puchka. He shared that back in those days, he would survive on puchka paani as it was a cheap option. In his words:
"Victoria Memorial ke saamne ek phatak hai wahan duniya ka sabse best puchka milta hai. Hum jaise log jinki salary Rs 300-400 hoti thi, wahan jab hum job karte the, khane peene mein bahut dikkat hoti thi. We would survive on Puchka Paani as it was cheap only for do aana 4 aana. Bahut he badhiya puchka milta tha peit bhar ke khate the."

Earlier, Jaya Bachchan and her daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, joined Navya Naveli Nanda on her podcast, What The Hell Navya and talked on the subject, ‘Modern Love: Romance and Regrets’. In the episode, Jaya shared that her hubby, Amitabh Bachchan had put forward one condition before getting married to her and said:
“We had decided we will marry in October, because by then my work would have reduced. But he had told me, ‘I definitely don’t want a wife who will be 9 to 5. Please work, but not every day. You choose your projects and work with the right people’.”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the film, Uunchai.
