Amitabh Bachchan, a stellar name in the Indian entertainment industry, has been ruling the hearts of millions for over five decades. The 81-year-old actor started his career in films and gave us some of the classic ones of all time. He has acted in over 200 films and is mostly known for his stint in Deewar, Sholay, Zanjeer, Black, Satte Pe Satta, Silsila, Baghban, and many others. In 2000, he debuted in the reality TV genre with Kaun Banega Crorepati and has been the host of the same for all 15 seasons except the third one.
During the final episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, the veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan was seen getting teary-eyed. In a promotional video posted on Sony TV’s Instagram page, the host of the show was emotional while bidding farewell to the current season. Many of his fans got emotional after watching the video as they thought he was retiring from the show. In the video, the 81-year-old actor was seen donning a maroon-hued tuxedo, which he paired with a white shirt and a silver-coloured tie. He could be seen saying:

Ever since the video was uploaded on the social media platform, netizens have been scratching their heads and are eager to know if Amitabh Bachchan has left the KBC franchise forever. A Redditor shared the same clip on the discussion platform, and people have been sharing their opinions on the same. One user wrote, “He actually mentioned that is umeed me ja rhe he k aage fir mulaqat hogi! So this bye was for just this season!” Another one said, “He said “Iss daur” indicating this is farewell for this season. In the last episode of the show, Avinash Bharti and Sheela Devi were featured as contestants. The finale episode had celebrities, including Vidya Balan, Sharmila Tagore, and Sara Ali Khan. Vidya shared a video of Amitabh Bachchan talking about Jaya Bachchan, while Sharmila revealed her nickname, "Rinku Di," given by Jaya. Sara talked about her childhood memories and even shared her iconic 'knock-knock' joke on the show. During a conversation with Avinash Bharti, who is from Uttar Pradesh, Amitabh Bachchan reminisced about his college days. He mentioned memories from his hostel room number 27 while studying at Delhi University's Kirori Mal College, where Avinash is also a student.
On the film front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in two upcoming movies. One is a sci-fi action thriller film titled Kalki 2898 AD, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. This movie is expected to release in January 2024. The other movie is a courtroom drama called Section 84.
