Amy Schumer Reportedly On The Brink Of Divorce, Is That Why She Really Wiped Her Instagram?

Is Amy Schumer in her soon-to-be single era? Apparently, insiders believe so and have very subtly hinted that it might be the reason why she wiped her IG feed clean! Amy has been making headlines for her transformation, the absolutely ravishing red dress, deleting her Instagram posts, and leaving fans stunned —all in one breath. However, it seems to have something to do with the comedian's marriage. 

Is Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer's marriage over?

Well, the buzz started on November 13, 2025 (ET) with a Daily Mail report. According to the reports, the Trainwreck actress DID have a reason to give her Instagram feed a deep cleanse. She reportedly wanted to remove all traces of her allegedly soon-to-be ex-husband, Chris Fischer, on the app, because they're on the brink of divorce! However, this might not be the only clue the actress has given fans about the crumbling of her marriage, as many noticed that the recent red dress picture she posted was missing a big accessory: her wedding band.

A close friend told the outlet that their marriage is almost over. According to the source, Amy and Chris are beyond the point of no return, and the latter is mostly out of the house. They added that the couple has now listed two homes, in Brooklyn and New Orleans. She deleted Chris from Instagram, then deleted everything else. The source added that "she's going to file soon, but it's over. Done." The source was quoted as saying:

"Amy is 100 per cent getting divorced. She got skinny, and she is over it. Chris is mostly out of the house at this point. They've listed two homes now, in Brooklyn and New Orleans. She deleted Chris from Instagram, then deleted everything else. She's going to file soon, but it's over. Done."

Another source told the publication that Amy no longer talks about Chris. Apparently, the actress has sworn off her husband, whom she allegedly estranged. The same source noted that Amy hasn't been seen with him in a while. The last time they were photographed on the carpet together was for the premiere of Room To Move in June 2025. 

What happened between Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer?

While there is no confirmation of a divorce from Amy or Chris, several sources are sure the two will "never ever get back together, like, ever". But the question is: what happened between them? A second insider has shared some details on what happened and revealed that it hasn't been easy since Chris has autism and doesn't get it when Amy is joking. The source also added how Amy has become more 'lighter and outgoing' ever since losing weight and wants more from life. The source was quoted as saying:

"It's not easy because of his autism, he doesn't even get her jokes, and being funny and making people laugh is important to her. Also, there is that classic cliche: when a woman loses weight, her personality changes. Amy has changed since losing weight, she is much lighter in her spirit, more easy going. I think she wants more out of life."

A third source also claimed the pair mainly focus on their 6-year-old son, Gene David Fischer, rather than their marriage these days. They shared that Amy and Chris have been on a routine for the last couple of years. However, they are now more focused on their son than on their own relationship. The source also claimed that Chris' brutal honesty has crossed the line between blessing and curse, becoming an issue in their marriage. She was quoted as saying:

"Amy and Chris have been on a routine the last couple years, they have focused more on their child then their relationship and his brutal honesty being autistic is a blessing and a curse for Amy to where she has joked about it on some of her specials but it has also become a minor issue for their relationship."
