Anand Ahuja Cheers Up Sonam Kapoor In A Unique Way As She Leaves Twitter After Facing Negativity

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is not only a fashionista that everyone looks up to, but there’s another thing she is famous for. She has a knack for making no filter comments and is one of the most vocal and outspoken celebrities. Sonam never shies away from calling spade a spade and hogs the headlines every now and then. She is often trolled mercilessly on social media but Sonam has had enough spunk to tackle the trollers with a pinch of salt. (Also Read: Hubby Anand S Ahuja And Bro Arjun Kapoor Troll Sonam Kapoor Ahuja For Wearing Oversized Clothes)

On October 6, 2018, Sonam decided to take a break from Twitter, and announcing the same, she tweeted, “I’m going off twitter for a while. It’s just too negative. Peace and love to all!” While the celebrities are opening up about the #MeToo movement, Sonam talked about Kangana Ranaut’s allegations and accusations against Vikas Bahl, at the recent Vogue - We The Women summit in Bengaluru.

The Veere Di Wedding actress said, “I think Kangana wrote something. Kangana is obviously Kangana Ranaut. She says a lot of stuff and sometimes is hard to take her seriously. I love the fact that she has spunk and she says what she believes. I really have respect for that. I don’t know him, I don’t know the situation. If what is written what is written is true, then it’s disgusting and awful. If it’s true, then they should be punished for it.”

Replying to Sonam’s statement, Kangana in an interview with Pinkvilla, stated, “What does she mean by saying, “its hard to believe Kangana” When I am sharing my #MeToo story, who gives her a right to judge me? So, Sonam Kapoor has the license of trusting some women and some she won’t. What makes her so unsure of my claims, I am known to be an articulate person, I have represented my country in many international summits, I am called as a thoughtful and youth influencer to these summits, I am not known because of my dad I have earned my place and credibility after struggling for a decade.”

She further added, “She isn’t known to be a great actress, neither she has the reputation of being a good speaker. What gives these filmy people right to take digs at me!!!! I will demolish each one of them.” In a recent post that Sonam shared on her Instagram, it seems that it is a rebuttal, blaming "irresponsible media" who, as per Sonam, have "misquoted (her) or taken (her) quote out of context and made other women react." (Also Read: Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja's Star-Studded Reception Was High On Style, See Who Wore What At The Party)

Sonam shared the following snap, and wrote, “Women need to stand together! Irresponsible media have misquoted me or taken my quote out of context and made other women react. All I want to say is that all I have is compassion and love for you. I’m proud of where I come from and so should every other woman or man. Let’s stand together and speak up. Let’s not pull each other down with bitterness and negativity. Love is always the answer. drawing by @stayinkspired”.

In her Insta stories, Sonam had shared two quotes by Edmund Burke and Elie Wiesel. One could be read as, “I swore never to be silent whenever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented”, and the other one, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

In another post, which was an appreciation post for the man in her life, Anand S Ahuja, Sonam revealed that he had sent her these quotes to make her feel better. She wrote, “Also an appreciation post for a man who I’m proud to be married to. He’s more idealistic and honest than anyone I know. Thank God for good men. He sent me these quotes to make me feel better about speaking up after all the negativity that I’ve been facing for doing so. I love you @anandahuja.” (Also Read: Sonam Kapoor Reveals Why Anand Ahuja Got Promoted To Become Her Husband, On 'National Boyfriend Day')
