Ananya Panday is the trendsetter diva in Tinseltown at the moment, who has enthralled zillions of hearts with her gorgeous beauty. Despite being a star-kid, her journey to success in the film industry hasn’t been a smooth one, and it wasn’t until her 2023-release, Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan that she received critical appreciation for her performance. Recently, the actress opened up about maintaining inter-personal equations with her fellow contemporaries, and divulged if there was any competition between them.
Well, the Hindi film industry has evolved completely over the years, and gone are the days where artists nursed competitive and jealous mindsets against one another. Recently, Ananya Panday opened up about the same. In an interaction with News18 Showsha, the diva dismissed the popular narratives about her having soured relations with her contemporaries, especially Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. She termed that it was merely an over-hyped matter, and in reality, they are indeed friends and quite supportive of each other. In her words:
“Women actors are pitted against each other and that’s something that people create more than actors themselves. The relationships shared between actors are hyped up. Most of my closest friends in the industry are women and I always find them very, very supportive.”

Moving further in the interaction, Ananya was asked if she was bothered by the competitive comparisons that are often drawn between her, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, considering that the three of them made their debut quite subsequently. In response, the actress remarked that the three of them are extremely fond of one another. Moreover, Ananya asserted that all of them try to work on their versatility and bring something new to the table each time, rather than fending off from one another’s career paths. She mentioned:
“Whenever I’ve a film, a song or a trailer coming out, Janhvi and Sara are always the first few people to message me or come for my screenings. I do the same for them. I always show up for them. We all are very different and bring different things to the table rather than eating into each other’s zone. In fact, the work they do inspires me more than anything else and makes me work harder.”
Earlier, in an interaction with Galatta Plus, Ananya Panday reminisced about the time when she informed her parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday about her decision to join the films. The actress shared that her parents never took her opinion seriously and were instead focused on the latter to complete her college and education. Ananya added that her parents wanted her to have a backup plan ready, in case her dreams of joining showbiz didn’t attain completion.

In her personal life, Ananya Panday is allegedly in a relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur. While the duo is yet to make any official confirmation about themselves, the fact that they have made quite a few public appearances together, and have even jetted off to events and holidays together, are quite the fuel to the fire. In one of her previous interviews with News18, Ananya Panday reacted to her pictures with Aditya Roy Kapur from their vacation together becoming a topic of discussion on news portals. She remarked:
“I can’t say it bothers me. As actors, we signed up for it. It’s going to happen and people are going to be curious. But it’s up to us to draw the line to protect what’s important as much as we can, and that’s what I try to do. I can’t get upset about it because it’s a part of my profession. I can only control whatever is in my power.”
