While the film is loved and appreciated by many critics, it is Ananya Panday's surprising performance that is making headlines. Some are in awe of her acting skills, but there is a section on the internet, which thinks that it is a 'power of nepotism'. In the film, Ananya's character is a young girl, who gets too involved to seek validation from her partner. Undoubtedly, it is a story that is related to many young girls. Ananya not only portrayed the character well, but it seems like she has worked hard on her craft.
While some loved Ananya's character and the way the actress played it, others called it a power of nepotism. A Reddit user heaped praises on Ananya's role and wrote, "Ananya played herself and she played it well. She's okay in urban roles like Gehraiyaan and KGHK. But I enjoyed the movie too! Felt it could’ve been tighter and more compact but it was sweet.I agree about not being overshadowed - both Sid and Adarsh were phenomenal actors and yet AP wasn’t quite overshadowed. Feel the need to add I can’t STAND AP in other movies. I get the actual ick. Her Bombay drawl is so annoying mostly. But here it worked."

Another one wrote, "I don’t disagree. She looked and played the part. Somehow I felt the role and setting of childhood friends was similar to gehraian. She was pretty good in that too." However, there were some, who quickly concluded that she is getting movies till her performance outshines where the heavy-lifting is done by an outsider. The comment can be read as:
"When people said that the trajectory of Ananyas career would be like movie after movie until she would be somewhat acceptable in a movie tailormade for her.. where heavy lifting is done by a talented outsider... and all accolades for Ananya... without any pressure of the Box office... They were right... Now she will get 4-5 movies iske leverage pe...nice... Bahot badhiya.. all insiders posting glowing reviews for Ananya's Oscar winning performance..and the timing soo right after Archies.. when the bar is so low it's literally in hell."
Ananya has been working hard and people might say whatever they want to, but she is definitely ticking off goals from her checklist. In 2023, she fulfilled her dream of owning her own home. On November 10, 2023, Ananya Panday shared the good news of buying her own home. She posted glimpses of her griha pravesh puja on her Instagram handle. In the first picture, Ananya was seen doing puja in her new home. She was decked up in a pretty yellow-hued ensemble and looked gorgeous. The actress also shared a video, wherein we can see her breaking the coconut in front of the main door. We loved the pastel pink-toned door.
On the personal front, Ananya Panday is rumoured to be dating Aditya Roy Kapur.
