Andy Byron's Wife, Megan Allegedly Clarified Why She Removed 'Byron' Surname After Kiss Cam Scandal

Andy Byron, the former CEO of Astronomer, made it to the headlines after he was caught cuddling his company's HR head, Kristin Cabot, at a Coldplay concert. The duo was caught on the Kiss Cam, and the band's frontman, Chris Martin, pointed at them, stating that either they were having an affair or were camera-shy. Amidst this, what caught the attention was Megan Kerrigan instantly removing the 'Byron' surname from her Facebook profile before deleting it.

Now, another page with her name and a few of her statements has been going viral. While it has yet to be confirmed whether it's her original profile or not, her statements have garnered a great deal of attention. One of the statements was about why she chose to remove her husband's surname from her name on Facebook. On the alleged Facebook wall of Megan Kerrigan, a post featured a statement in which she allegedly discussed her decision to be known only as 'Megan Kerrigan'. She allegedly mentioned that she has officially dropped her surname, and while it felt like a formality, it's a closure for her. Megan allegedly wrote:

"Hello, My name is Megan Kerrigan — no longer Megan Byron. Today, I officially dropped his last name. And while it may seem like just a formality to some, to me… it was closure."

In the same note, Megan Kerrigan mentioned that she didn't choose to do it out of bitterness but rather peace. She allegedly penned how she gave her heart, name and trust to a man who let her down, and left her in public alone like this.

Megan went on to mention that while the betrayal was painful, the humiliation cut deeper, and she saw what the entire world saw. She stated that when she saw the man she loved with another woman, not behind closed doors but at a concert, it changed everything just like that. Megan mentioned:

"I didn’t make this decision out of bitterness. I made it out of peace. I gave my heart, my loyalty, and my name to a man who couldn’t even respect me in private — let alone in public. The betrayal was painful… But the public humiliation? That cut deeper than anything. Watching the man I loved kiss another woman not behind closed doors, but at a concert, in front of thousands  while the world recorded it like entertainment… That was the moment everything changed.I won’t drag his name. I don’t need to. The world saw what I saw."

Megan Kerrigan allegedly said that she had put out this post not out of pity but out of power, and she removed 'Byron' from her name, not because she lost something, but because she finally found herself. Stating that she is not going back, Megan Kerrigan said:

"This post isn’t for pity, it’s for power. I removed Byron not because I lost something…But because I finally found myself again. And I’m not going back."

On her Facebook profile, Megan Kerrigan allegedly released a statement on the 'Kiss Cam' scandal, which showed her husband, Andy Byron, cuddling another woman. Through the statement, Megan thanked those who supported her in this tough phase of life. She further asked people not to fall prey to fake profiles that pose as her while asking for financial aid.

Another alleged statement of Megan made waves, wherein she revealed that she had decided to leave Andy and take away her kids. For the unversed, Andy and Megan had two kids, as reported, and they used to reside in New York. Current status of their marital life hasn't been confirmed officially, and while Megan's recent FB page and statement are going viral, it's yet to be authenticated whether it actually belongs to her or not.
