Andy Dick is a comedian who has appeared in many cult-classic comedies, including Zoolander and Dr. Dolittle 2. He also hosted The Andy Dick Show. However, more than his body of work, Andy has made headlines for his frequent troubles with the law. Apart from his substance use issue, Andy had also been registered as an offender. Recently, Andy Dick's distressing video has gone viral, where he was seen unresponsive on the street from a supposed overdose. Here's everything to know about the controversial comedian. 

Viral video shows Andy Dick collapsed on the street from an alleged overdose

TMZ shared photos and videos taken on a street in Hollywood, which show Andy collapsed and unresponsive on a staircase. Several people, some friends and others unknown bystanders, tried to revive him. People called for medical help, and Andy was administered Narcan, which helps to reverse the effects of a dr*g overdose. As of now, Andy has been reported to be doing fine. The comedian also contacted TMZ and shared that he was 'okay' but did not comment further on the health scare. Reports also suggest that Andy refused to be taken to the hospital.

Andy Dick's years of struggle with substance addiction and alcoholism

Andy is a notorious figure in the comedy circles due to his behaviour and conduct that reportedly stems from his years of addiction issues. As far back as 1999, he was charged with possession of illegal toxic substances. Following this, Andy has been charged with possession and public intoxication numerous times. The comedian once addressed his battle with addiction and revealed that by 2016, he had been to rehabilitation centres around 20 times.

Apart from the possession of substance and public intoxication charges, Andy has a list of even more felonies. The comedian has been accused of drinking and driving, and also of a hit-and-run case after he drove his car into a pole. Then Andy was also arrested for indecent exposure. The comedian has also been charged with a series of se*ual harassment cases involving many women. Andy has been arrested for battery, burglary, and even more incidents of misdemeanors. As a result, the comedian was required to be registered as an offender.

Andy's list of misconduct incidents does not end here. Apart from the many charges against him, the comedian has been known to behave in a salacious manner on stage, especially with female celebrities. A year later, at the same comedy roast, Andy reportedly licked celebrities such as Farah Fawcett and Carrie Fisher. Allegedly, the comedian also bit a female New York Post reporter. 

Andy was kicked out by Jimmy Kimmel from his show in 2007, after he continued to inappropriately touch Ivanka Trump despite being warned several times. Then, during the AVN Awards, a ceremony for adult films, Andy was forcefully ousted from the event after allegedly groping and stalking adult actress, Tera Patrick, and drag queen, Chi Chi LaRue. Andy Dick also has a history of making offensive remarks against certain communities. 

Andy Dick's family life and children 

Andy has been married twice. His first wife is Ivone Kowalczyk, and they share a son, Lucas. Their marriage lasted from 1986 to 1990. More information about their marriage and the reason for the divorce has not been made public. Reportedly, Ivone is an artist who prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Andy later married Lena Sved. They share two children, a son and a daughter. Lena is reportedly a realtor, but nothing else is known about their marriage, not even whether they are still together. 

According to a report by People, Lena had put a restraining order on Andy. She reportedly took this step after Andy got into a confrontation with their son, Jacob. As per reports, Lena also stated that Andy has a drinking problem. The current status of Andy and Lena's relationship is not known.
