Bollywood’s 'He-Man', Dharmendra, is one of the beloved actors of the industry. However, on November 11, 2025, the whole nation was shocked to hear that the veteran actor had allegedly passed away. Many media outlets, including Aaj Tak, reportedly spread false news of Dharmendra's death. This false reporting sparked backlash, and the TV anchor, Anjana Om Kashyap, is currently facing heavy criticism online. Now that the senior TV journalist’s death hoax is circulating online, her apology tweet repost has gone viral.

On November 13, 2025, India Today took to its official X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared a note poviding for an apology. They mentioned that they made an error regarding veteran actor, Dharmendra and also wished for his speedy recovery. Later, the tweet was reshared by Anjana Om Kashyap, who has now gone viral. The note can be read as:

"We deeply regret the incorrect information shared earlier regarding Dharmendra ji. As soon as the official clarification was received, the report was taken down. Appropriate action has been taken for the error. Our heartfelt wishes are with Dharmendra ji and his family, and we pray for his good health and speedy recovery."

The false reporting on Dharmendra's alleged death has sparked extreme backlash, and Aaj Tak’s TV anchor, Anjana Om Kashyap, also got entangled in this unavoidable controversy. The Deol family, including Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Sunny Deol, has strongly condemned the media’s insensitive actions. Now that the ailing actor has been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital, a death hoax involving the senior TV journalist, Anjana, surfaced online. In fact, a Reel has gone viral showing a man visibly upset in front of Anjana’s picture, wearing a funeral garland. Many netizens have called out the action. A user wrote, "No, this is not done! Please stop this." Giving a reply, a user penned, "Yes, Sir, this seems equally incorrect as the earlier one. With due respect, two wrongs don’t make a right."

More about Anjana Om Kashyap and Dharmendra

Anjana was born and raised in Ranchi, and later she shifted to Bihar. Her dad, Om Prakash Tiwari, served as a doctor in the Indian Army during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Since childhood, Anjana has been a very bright student. She graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in Botany. She then completed her post-graduation in Social Work. In the early 2000s, she entered the world of journalism and pursued a diploma from Jamia Millia Islamia. She began her professional career in Doordarshan and became the face of their investigative show, Aankhon Dekhi.

Within a year, she then switched to Zee News. Currently, she is the anchor of Aaj Tak and is best known for her bold stance as a senior TV journalist. In her personal life, Anjana is married and a mother. She tied the knot with Mangesh Kashyap, an officer from the 1995 Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service cadre. The couple fell in love during their college days. The duo are now proud parents of two kids, a son and a daughter.

On the other hand, Dharmendra is one of the most popular actors of Bollywood and has a nationwide fame for his stellar acting skills. He has been entertaining the audience since 1960. For the uninitiated, Bollywood’s 'He-Man' made his acting debut with the film, Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. Over the years, the actor gave several hits, including Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Ankhen, Seeta Aur Geeta, Chupke Chupke, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Coming to his personal life, Dharmendra has a large family including two wives, six children and 13 grandchildren.
