Bigg Boss 17 officially ended after ace comedian, Munawar Faruqui was announced as the show's winner by Salman Khan. Munawar lifted the trophy in the final, defeating Abhishek Kumar in the finale. Apart from the cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs, the winner also received a brand new Hyundai Creta. While Munawar winning the show was normal for a lot of people, Ankita Lokhande finishing fourth left a large section of the show's viewers shocked.
It was a massive disappointment for so many netizens, who were expecting her to stand alongwith Salman Khan and Munawar in the final. Well, in the finale of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain gave a romantic dance performance, which received much praise on the internet. However, one thing that caught the attention of so many viewers was the behaviour of Vicky's mother, Ranjana Jain, who spoiled her daughter-in-law, Ankita's mood with her remarks in the finale.

In the Bigg Boss 17 finale, Salman Khan told Ranjana Jain and Ankita Lokhande to take vows for each other. While Ankita promised her mother-in-law that she and Vicky would never fight again, Ranjana Jain vowed to give love and affection to the actress. The hilarious segment entertained the fans and convinced many that everything would be fine between Ankita and her mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain.
Everything was going wonderful, but once again, Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain, decided to spoil everything. The saasu maa told the actress to promise she would never participate in a show where she would spoil the family's name. She said, “Aise show mein na aao jahan parivaar ki izzat mitti mein mil jaae”. Responding promptly to her mother-in-law's request, Ankita clearly stated that she is proud of her industry. She said:
"I am a part of this industry mumma. I am proud of it".

Ankita Lokhande was one of the strongest contestants in the show, but surprisingly, she finished fourth behind Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar and Munawar Faruqui. The actress looked visibly upset when she was making her way out of the show as she was mobbed by a series of people and paparazzi, who were trying to get her reaction to the results. From losing out on the trophy to an awkward banter with her mother-in-law, Ankita went through a lot in the show's last moment, and it was clearly visible on her face.
