Ankita Lokhande has been leading the limelight ever since she stepped inside Bigg Boss 17. Be it her constant fight with her husband, Vicky Jain or talking about her past relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput, the actress often hits the headlines. And now, one of her statements regarding her ex-boyfriend and actor, Sushant Singh Rajput has caught everyone’s attention.
During one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita was talking to Ayesha Khan over Abhishek Kumar’s claims of being claustrophobic where she said that he was lying as she knows what claustrophobia is as Sushant was claustrophobic. Ankita’s statement didn’t go down well with many as they claimed that the actress was a hypocrite.

In 2020, after Sushant’s death, when Rhea Chakraborty claimed that the actor was claustrophobic, Ankita denied it and shared a video of Sushant flying an Airplane. Taking an indirect dig at Rhea, Ankita posted a screengrab and tweeted:
“Is this #claustrophobia? You always wanted to fly and you did it and we all are proud of you.”
As soon as the clip, in which Ankita spoke about Sushant being claustrophobic surfaced on social media, netizens dug out her old tweet and called her fake. Many social media users also claimed that Ankita is playing the sympathy card by talking about Sushant again and again. One of the users wrote, “She wants to play sympathy card on his name.... always yaha tho koi zarurat be nehi tha fir be uska name lai kar samja rhi hai.....as I said earlier also...apnai husband Sai zayada wo sushant ka nam laiti hai.”

Not once, but Ankita has often been talking about her past relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput. In one of the episodes of BB17, Ankita talked about her breakup with Sushant. During the episode, Munawar Faruqui asked Ankita when did she broke up with Sushant, she said that the day was February 26, 2016. Then, Munawar asked her if they both lived together, and Ankita replied that she started dating Sushant just after one month of Pavitra Rishta and moved in with him. However, she started to feel left out, and their relationship fell apart. In her words:
"Yes, for 7 years. Just after one month of Pavitra Rishta, we started dating. Even he must have been in pain, I'm sure. But it was very painful for me because he was moving ahead in something, and I used to feel left out. Even he didn't know that this would happen."
