Ankita, as we well know was previously in a relationship with her Pavitra Rishta co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput. Recently, when Ankita posted her first look from her upcoming movie, Manikarnika, Sushant replied to her post by commenting, "It looks absolutely great Ankita. I’m extremely happy to see this. May God bless with lots of success and happiness." This started a stir on social media.
When a media house contacted Ankita to comment on the same, she replied, "I think I have always been good to him, he has always been good to me and it's good to appreciate good work. What's wrong in that? So it's nothing more than that. It's just an appreciation from one actor to another actor. So I am like theek hai he messaged, even I replied and that's it, end of the story."
Ankita and Sushant broke up in 2016 after being together for 6 years. Talking about her break up with Sushant, Ankita once said, "Back then, I was trying to be a homemaker and doing a very big job. When I was working, I was satisfied; when I wasn’t, I was still happy. I’m okay with whatever I do. Aisa kabhinahin tha ki mujhe yeh chahiye ya woh chahiye. I decided to take a break because I was happy with that then. It was not just for myself. I guess, the Universe wanted me to get back professionally, which is why I’m here now. I won’t say the break-up affected my profession, though. Love and work are two separate things. You need to balance them and I’ll say I wasn’t able to do that."
Sushant had once commented on his break up with Ankita and had said, "It is very important to give time to a relationship. It can sustain if there are no expectations. When you are in love you care about your partner and wish for good memories with him or her. Therefore time is like an investment in any relationship. We run after psychological security which will never last long. Most of the actors only want to speak about themselves and have become self-obsessed. They want to be heard only. Today, people no longer have listening power." (Also Read: Twinkle Khanna Reveals What Husband Akshay Kumar Hasn't Given Her In Their 18 Years Of Marriage)

Now, two years have passed since they split up, and Ankita has found love in a businessman from Bilaspur. Talking to Bombay Times, Ankita said, "Love is really important for me, because I believe in it. I believe in giving love to everyone, including my family, dogs and myself, and not just the person I get married to. Relationships are very important, because that’s the bond you share with someone and that’s how love grows between people. Marriage has always been my dream. I have always wanted to get married. But at this point, my priorities have changed. I am really looking forward to more films."
Reports of Ankita and Vicky dating had been floating for a few months. A Bombay Times report last year (2018) had suggested, "After her breakup with Sushant, Ankita found her soulmate in Vicky. The couple is seen at many parties together and has also travelled to various holiday destinations. All of their friends know about the relationship. Ankita is also very close to Vicky's family and is often spotted with his sister. Currently, she is occupied with her film promotions, but she is planning to get married in 2019."
