It’s that season of the year again when many lovebirds tie the knot and step into their forever journey. Indian weddings are all about gold, glitter and delicious food. From grand wedding destinations to designer ensembles of the bride and groom, everything about desi marriages are a bit extravaganza. And television celebrity, Ankita Lokhande seems to enjoy the same as its her bhai ki shaadi.
For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande rose to fame with her acting stint in the popular show, Pavitra Rishta opposite her late ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. After reaching the desired heights in her career, she tied the knot with a businessman, Vicky Jain, in 2021. Even after belonging from a non-filmy background, Vicky has a lot of fans courtesy of his participation in the reality show, Smart Jodi.

On October 7, 2022, Ankita Lokhande took to her IG handle and uploaded a beautiful Reel from the festivities of her brother’s traditional wedding. In the glimpses, the actress was seen sitting on a chair, donning a pretty yellow Kanjeevaram saree, statement jewellery and double jhumkas. Moreover, a lady was applying alta on Ankita’s feet as she smiled and flaunted her sindoor and mangalsutra. Ankita’s caption can be read as:
“Mere bhai ki shaadi hai.”

Earlier, Ankita Lokhande had shared glimpses from her Gauri poojan celebration. For the puja, she had worn a baby pink silk saree paired with a sleeveless blouse and stone-studded jewellery. Twinning with Ankita, Vicky was seen in a similar coloured kurta layered with a floral Nehru jacket. The lovebirds invited their close friends and in-laws to their brand-new house for the puja. Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ankita had opened up about her wedding for the first time. The actress had revealed that she and Vicky planned the wedding classy and luxurious because it was a one-take thing. Mentioning how their perfect planning of a less tadak bharak wedding had surpassed their expectations, Ankita had stated:
“Everyone has their own wedding plans. Vicky and I planned a few things too. Jo socha tha usse kahin zyada achchi ho gayi cheezein. We were excited and super nervous since it was a one-take thing. I always wanted my wedding to be different. My wedding was not too much tadak bhadak. It was very classy, just the way I wanted it.”
