Ankita Lokhande is one of the most talented actresses in the television industry. The diva became a household name with her exceptional performance in Ekta Kapoor's serial, Pavitra Rishta, alongside the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. For those who don't know, Ankita and Sushant were also an off-screen couple, and they continued their relationship for seven long years before they called it quits. Cut to now, Ankita is married to Vicky Jain.
Ankita Lokhande recently graced the controversial show, Bigg Boss 17, along with her husband, Vicky Jain. During her stint in the show, Ankita and Vicky grabbed a lot of limelight, owing to their constant spat for one reason or another. However, it was Ankita who often recalled the fond memories of her ex-beau, Sushant, on the show. While some of her fans hailed the diva for her love for the late actor, Sushant, others, along with Ankita's mother-in-law, Ranjana, said that the Pavitra Rishta actress mentioned SSR in the show just to gain sympathy. And now, Ankita finally reacted to the same.

Recently, a fan page of Ankita Lokhande dropped a short clip of the diva's interview with Siddharth Kannan. In the interview, the actress was asked about her talking a lot about Sushant Singh Rajput inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. To this, Ankita shared that when she talks about SSR, she finds a lot of good things to say about him. The actress also added that Sushant had been the kind of person, who, even if he is not present physically, exists in everyone's life. The actress also mentioned that she and Sushant had common friends, and they still talk about the late actor. Sharing more about the same, Ankita stated:
"When I speak about Sushant, I wonder there are a lot of nice things to tell about him. So why not? Sushant is that person in our life who somewhere still exists. We have common friends, we speak about him. There is nothing wrong if someone wants to know about him, consider him as an idol.”
In the same video, Ankita Lokhande was asked about her conversation with Abhishek Kumar about Sushant Singh Rajput. To this, the actress shared that Abhishek loves Sushant, and when he asked her about SSR, why shouldn't she tell him what he wanted to know? Ankita also remarked that if someone is not around and people are choosing to say only good things about him, it means that person has an impact on everyone's life. Ankita can be quoted as saying:
"Abhishek loved him. When Abhishek asked me about him, why will I stop telling him? I am not doing anything. If someone is not around anymore and if we are speaking good about him, that means he has done something good in everybody’s life."

In an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Saajish, Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain was asked about Ankita using Sushant's name often inside the BB 17 house. Answering the questions, she accused Ankita of gaining sympathy and limelight by using her ex-beau's name. She also expressed sadness over SSR's demise and praised his works. Ankita's MIL could be quoted as saying:
"Sympathy jata rahi hai aisa lagta hai Ankita apne liye. Sushant ko kya padha hai, vo to chala hi gaya hai bechara. Wo tha jabhi bator ke le gaya, kitne achchhe achchhe kaam kiye usne."

In an interview with Galatta India, Ankita Lokhande's mom shared that her daughter is still in touch with the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters, Rani and Shweta, and they call the actress on a regular basis. Ankita's mom also remarked that Sushant's father too often calls Ankita, and they all treat the actress like their own daughter.
